Job Title: Head of Supply Chain – SRT Sterile

Location: Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid)

Join a fast‑growing, science‑driven organization on a mission to elevate global sterile supply performance. As Head of Supply Chain – SRT Sterile (Supplier Relation Team), you will take on a strategic leadership role overseeing worldwide supply planning operations across our global sterile external network. You will shape the future of our supply chain model, drive transformation, and ensure business continuity for critical products that positively impact patient care worldwide.

Core Mission

As the Head of SRT Sterile Supply Chain, you will:

  • Lead global supply planning upgrades with C(D)MOs and SRT Sterile organizations, implementing standardized and sustainable processes that support business growth.
  • Define supply chain setups for strategic decisions, supporting the long‑term external manufacturing and CMO network strategy.
  • Maximize service levels through proactive planning and process improvement.
  • Own supply planning for a 3–24 month horizon, supported by a robust KPI dashboard aligned with company objectives.
  • Establish best practices for supply planning, inventory management, and operational excellence across the sterile platform.
  • Promote collaboration, communication, and a global mindset across sites, affiliates, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership

  • Design and implement standardized supply planning processes across all Sterile SRT CMOs/partners.
  • Lead performance reporting to evaluate execution, anticipate risks, and drive proactive decision‑making.
  • Ensure governance and ownership of core supply chain processes, including S&OP, change control, and master data management.
  • Drive global inventory strategy, ensuring availability, optimal stock levels, and alignment with market needs.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage supply planning to meet service targets while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Develop and execute supply plans aligned with demand, production, and supplier lead times.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to manage supplier capacities, and long‑term planning scenarios.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks, escalating and communicating effectively with key stakeholders.

Performance & Talent Development

  • Build and maintain a high‑performing global supply chain team through coaching, training, and best‑practice sharing.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lead transformation initiatives.
  • Represent SRT Sterile in global supply chain forums and S&OP meetings.

S&OP & Inventory Management

  • Lead monthly S&OP cycles for the 3–36 month tactical horizon (internally and with C(D)MOs).
  • Optimize inventory levels and safety stock across raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Support financial alignment and reporting related to inventory and working capital.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of supply chain experience in pharma/biologics.
  • Proven leadership within external manufacturing and C(D)MO environments.
  • Strong track record in continuous improvement and change management initiatives.

Education

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, or Economics/Finance.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Supply chain certifications (APICS CPIM, CSCP, etc.) strongly valued.
  • Green Belt or above is a plus.

Skills & Attributes

  • Deep understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain planning and external manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent decision‑making and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate complexity, prioritize, and deliver in fast‑paced environments.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
