About the role

As the Head, Process Data, you will define and execute Takeda's global CMC Data Strategy across Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT), enabling a data-driven approach to process development, technology transfer, and manufacturing. You will establish enterprise-wide data standards, governance, and capabilities that ensure high-quality, FAIR, and analysis-ready process data across all modalities while partnering with global stakeholders to shape the future of CMC data management.

How you contribute

  • Define and execute the global CMC Data Strategy across biologics, plasma, vaccines, and synthetic molecules.

  • Establish and govern global CMC data standards, including taxonomies, ontologies, metadata frameworks, and enterprise data models.

  • Act as the Global Business Process Owner (BPO) for CMC data, driving governance, lifecycle management, and data stewardship.

  • Build and lead a global capability delivering standards, SOPs, governance frameworks, and job aids for MSAT teams.

  • Enable data-driven manufacturing and technology transfer by ensuring the availability of structured, contextualized, and analysis-ready process data.

  • Partner closely with DD&T and global MSAT organizations to implement scalable CMC data solutions and business rules.

  • Drive data quality, integrity, and GxP compliance while promoting continuous improvement and adoption of best practices.

  • Represent Takeda externally through scientific collaborations, industry forums, and partnerships to help shape the future of CMC data standards.

What you bring to Takeda

  • Master's or PhD in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline (Chemical or Biochemical Engineering preferred).

  • Extensive pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience with a strong background in CMC development, manufacturing, and data management.

  • Proven expertise in data modelling, taxonomies, ontologies, metadata frameworks, and data governance.

  • Experience implementing data integration solutions within regulated GxP environments.

  • Strong programming and analytical skills, including Python and SQL.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, global initiatives and influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.

  • Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and leveraging digital technologies to advance manufacturing and process intelligence.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills, with a strong commitment to developing people and driving engagement across global teams.

Base Salary Range:

CHF177,400.00 - CHF243,980.00
