As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating authentic and innovative menu items/ dishes, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, and overseeing kitchen operations. Duties & Responsibilities
Culinary Leadership: Lead and inspire the kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of dishes.
Menu Development: Create innovative menus that incorporate traditional and contemporary techniques.
Kitchen Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen hygiene. Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards and align with the culinary vision.
Staff Training and Development: Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Financial Management: Develop and manage kitchen budgets, controlling costs and optimizing profitability. Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and waste management practices to maximize efficiency and reduce expenses.
Menu Costing and Pricing: Conduct menu costing analysis to determine appropriate pricing strategies that balance profitability with customer value.
Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of culinary trends, emerging ingredients, and industry best practices, incorporating innovative concepts into the menu. Conduct research and development to explore new culinary techniques, flavors, and menu concepts
