HEAD PASTRY CHEF

Ultra-Luxury Private Island Resort • Seychelles • USD $3,500 per month + Service Charge

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for an exceptional Head Pastry Chef for an ultra-luxury private island resort in the Seychelles. This is a rare opportunity for a creative visionary and operational leader to shape and define an entire pastry identity for a resort with ambitions to be recognised among the very best in the world. The role demands the highest levels of craftsmanship, innovation, and leadership within a remote island environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead all pastry and bakery operations, ensuring exceptional quality, creativity, and consistency across every outlet
  • Design and execute innovative dessert menus spanning a la carte, tasting menus, afternoon tea, and bespoke guest experiences
  • Oversee artisan baking programmes including breads, viennoiserie, and specialty baked goods
  • Develop seasonal concepts using premium and locally sourced ingredients, blending global trends with island influences
  • Train, mentor, and inspire a multicultural pastry team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous growth
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B leadership to deliver cohesive, memorable dining experiences
  • Manage cost control, inventory, and ordering while maintaining premium product standards

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in pastry leadership roles within ultra-luxury resorts, 5-star hotels, or fine dining establishments
  • Michelin-starred restaurant experience is highly preferred
  • Advanced expertise in patisserie, bonbon and chocolate work, sugar work, artisan bread-making, and modern baking techniques
  • Solid knowledge of bakery operations, including breads and baked goods
  • International experience across high-end, diverse culinary environments
  • Proven ability to lead and develop multicultural teams in remote or island resort settings
  • Fluent in English and French; additional languages are highly desirable
  • Formal pastry or culinary training from a recognised institution
