Your area of work

Reporting to the Head of Section of Digital CSD Services, you will lead an operational team managing the European Issuance Services provided to the the German Market Clearstream customers. Your daily responsibilities will include overseeing, monitoring and improving the operations function, managing and developing the team, and ensuring the company satisfies its legal and regulatory requirements. You should focus on delivering consistent quality to market participants, focus on reducing risk. Managing the transformation to fully digital operations is a main objective in this role as well.

Your responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Operational management and development of the European Issuance Services Team
  • Change management while transitioning towards Digital CSD ambitions of Clearstream
  • Work closely with other the outsourcer teams in Clearstream Europe AG (European Issuance and Vaults Office) to ensure consistency and service delivery
  • Delivering a high quality end-to-end service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage all Services; Securities admission to collective safe custody in Clearstream and related securities related events.
  • Supervise the semi-automated admission for issued warrants, certificates and bonds electronically provided to Clearstream as German Central Securities Depository (CSD) by the issuer or its issuing agent and handle potential exceptions and specific customer queries
  • When requested participate and manage projects for DCDO (internal, external or regulatory changes).
  • Developing, maintaining and ensuring compliance to all operational guidelines, procedures and policies for your team. Ensure sufficient Unit Recovery Plans and Outsourcing contracts are in place for your team and teams you take over from in contingency situations.

Your profile

  • A Level or University degree, or comparable qualifications or banking experience
  • Broad knowledge of Clearstream’s processes, services and products
  • Very good analytical, problem solving and integrated thinking skills
  • Accuracy, flexibility, excellent organisational and communication skills are a requirement
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Proven leadership and networking capabilities
  • Ability to work under high pressure
  • Ability to adapt to a constant changing environment and situation
  • Demonstrate commitment, initiative, productivity, creativity
  • Be proactive as well as look to continuously learn and develop
  • “Can do” mind-set
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
