Melbourne or Sydney | Full-time

Currently this is an incredible team of 12 and growing!

The Opportunity

You'll lead one of the firm's largest and fastest-growing teams, working alongside experienced Pod Leaders and an exceptional group of litigators as we continue to scale nationally.

You'll work closely with our CEO, Executive Team and fellow Heads of Teams to ensure we're delivering exceptional outcomes for clients, creating meaningful careers for our people, a great environment to work in and continuously improving how we work.

This role will suit an experienced litigator, who now wants to focus on commercial leadership, people leadership, client engagement and innovation - and who is excited by the opportunity to continue to build and innovate a high performing team. As legal services continue to evolve, you'll play a key role in shaping how disputes are delivered in the future - leveraging AI, technology and process innovation to help our lawyers spend more time on judgment, advocacy and client relationships, and less time on administration.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Leading the strategy, growth and profitability of our Disputes & Litigation practice
  • Building strong and trusted relationships with clients, referrers and strategic partners to ensure we are providing them with the legal support they require, noting that what is required by them will continue to adapt and change
  • Developing strong leaders and engaged, high-performing teams
  • Driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Championing technology, AI and innovative approaches to legal service delivery
  • Helping position Law Squared as a leading alternative legal services provider
  • Continuing to grow a profitable and sustainable disputes practice
  • Improving operational efficiency
  • Creating an environment where innovation, accountability and continuous improvement thrive.
  • Having fun doing all of the above!
