The New Role:

This is a strategic, high-impact role intended to elevate our current Flat roofing systems and solutions to the next level.

The Head of Roofing Systems & Compliance is responsible for the overall technical relevance and competitive benefits of our offered systems, crucial for enabling flat roof system sales across the Product Leadership Group for Bitumen Flat roof covering the area of Region Nordics, Benelux, France, UK&I, and Iberia.

This is a new role where you will spearhead a commercial approach to our systems: defining systems per segment (performance benefits, certifications), embedding sustainability requirements within value propositions to ensure market fit, compliance, and correct installation guidelines.

This strategic, but still hands-on position, is a part of our new regional PLG (Product Leadership Group) organisationand will have functional management responsibility, including the indirect leadership of team members across the Nordics and Group organisation. You will report directly to the PLG Director - Flat roofing based in Sweden.

We believe you will be based in the Copenhagen area or at our Nordic HQ in Malmö, Sweden. The role requires regular travel between the offices in the dedicated region (Nordics, France, Benelux, UK&I, and Iberia). Therefore, being located close to a main airport hub is crucial.

Your Main Tasks:

  • Leada harmonized and consistent approach to systems for target segments (build-up, building science, installation) across the cluster/s for all building types.

  • Definethe system regulatory and sustainability requirements and the need for relevant certifications, including FM approval.

  • Governcomplete system build-ups.

  • Spearheadthe system application standards, providing high-level guidance on application certification and benefits to the local Field Application teams.

  • Providetechnical guidance to Portfolio Managers on required system performance and build-ups.

  • Guidequick spec technical validity for specification sales (ensuring rapid-specification documentation is technically sound).

  • Drivethe harmonization of systems’ warranties and design/maintain the System Tracker for guarantee validations.

  • Provide Thought Leadership for teams representing the company in external technical committees.

  • Overseeinternal and external validation protocols.

  • Articulatethe system benefits in a building performance context for the value proposition.

  • Provideassistance on the most complex claims to elevate local capabilities of technical assessment.

  • Deliversystem performance inputs to the local technical services team.


Your Experience:

While a Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Building Surveying/Quantity Surveying) is ideal, extensive, high-level experience in general construction system knowledge is paramount.

Furthermore, you must have a proven track record of several years in a senior technical position within construction and/or roofing installation. This includes technical understanding of bitumen membranes and waterproofing roofing systems build-ups. You must also demonstrate solid proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction documents and regulatory frameworks.

You possess solid experience in senior-level stakeholder management, coupled with a strong business acumen, including a clear understanding of the drivers behind product profitability.

Your Skills:

  • Technical expertise in flat waterproofing systems as well as bituminous membranes.

  • Advanced knowledge of construction-related software such as AutoCad, BIM, etc.

  • You are used to reading and writing documentation related to regulations, certifications, building codes etc.

  • Teamplayer and self-motivated.

  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with experience working in an English-speaking, multinational business environment.

  • Ability to work across multiple countries and see opportunities for harmonization which will generate significant commercial impact.

  • You are fluent in English as a professional language.
