Position: Head of Surgery

Location: Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, Iraq

Contract Details: Full Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Surgery for a reputed client in IRAQ, who is dedicated to providing high-quality medical services to the local community. The Head of Surgery will be responsible for overseeing all surgical operations and procedures within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the surgical department, including all surgical procedures and operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and quality of surgical services.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards in regards to surgical procedures.
• Recruit, train, and supervise surgical staff, including surgeons, nurses, and support staff.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, medical professionals, and suppliers.
• Monitor and evaluate surgical performance and make necessary improvements to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Oversee the procurement of surgical equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements and developments in the field of surgery and implement best practices.
• Manage the surgical department budget and ensure cost-effective operations.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited university and board specialization.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in surgical operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
