About the role

Join us as our Head of Supply Chain Data Products in our European HQ located in Zurich. At Takeda, we are transforming supply chain management through data, digital products, and advanced analytics. In this role, you will lead the strategy, governance, and delivery of digital solutions that enable smarter planning, stronger execution, and improved customer outcomes.

How you will contribute

You will oversee a global portfolio of Supply Chain data products, spanning demand and supply planning, inventory, logistics, distribution, procurement, and customer experience. Working closely with Supply Chain leadership, Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T), Global Supply Quality (GSQ), business process owners, and senior stakeholders, you will help shape Takeda’s Supply Chain technology roadmap and position the function as a digital leader in the industry.

This is a highly influential role requiring strategic vision, operational understanding, and the ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable, measurable solutions. In this role, you will:

  • Lead the global Supply Chain Data Products team, including process experts and data scientists, to deliver measurable business outcomes through automation, optimization, and decision support.
  • Own Supply Chain data governance across Takeda’s data platforms, including data models, critical data elements, definitions, quality standards, and stewardship.
  • Establish a structured handover framework for data products to business process owners, including change management and adoption planning.
  • Define and maintain the Supply Chain systems and data roadmap in collaboration with DD&T and Supply Chain leadership.
  • Represent Supply Chain in enterprise Digital, AI, GSQ, and governance forums.
  • Identify innovative digital solutions that complement or transform traditional Supply Chain practices.
  • Lead the Supply Chain data products portfolio from intake through adoption, including problem framing, value cases, delivery, change management, and benefits tracking.
  • Drive cross-functional transformation programs using Agile and product delivery methodologies.
  • Establish clear scope, success metrics, governance structures, and stakeholder alignment for major initiatives.
  • Guide the application of data science and advanced analytics, including forecasting, statistical modelling, machine learning, KPI analysis, and responsible AI use.
  • Translate business needs into scalable data products that generate sustainable value across planning, execution, logistics, and customer service.
  • Develop Supply Chain capabilities in data, analytics, digital product management, and Agile ways of working.
  • Coach Citizen Developers, process owners, key users, and cross-functional teams to enable sustainable self-service improvement.
  • Build a data-driven continuous improvement culture by standardizing KPIs and accelerating the journey from insight to action.
  • Promote the reuse of trusted data products, consistent ways of working, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Lead project teams in a complex, global, and matrixed environment, delivering agreed milestones and objectives.

What you bring to Takeda

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • APICS CSCP certification or equivalent.
  • More than 10 years of experience across at least two cross-functional areas, such as Supply Chain, manufacturing, engineering, project or program management, commercial, or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain processes, including demand and supply planning, inventory management, customer service, logistics, procurement, and post-launch support.
  • Proven success leading complex business and digital transformation initiatives within Supply Chain.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Expertise in data modelling, data quality, data governance, and modern data platforms and integration patterns, including APIs and ETL/ELT.
  • Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA, planning solutions, and Supply Chain analytics.
  • Understanding of AI and Generative AI use cases, opportunities, and limitations.
  • Strong skills in critical thinking, negotiation, influencing, strategic planning, and program management.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, writing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Business-level fluency in English.
  • You are recognized as a strategic expert who can anticipate challenges, solve complex business problems, influence senior stakeholders, and turn innovative ideas into meaningful outcomes for Takeda’s patients, customers, and colleagues.
