Your position

As Head of Supply Chain, you will lead one of the central leadership functions within RHI Magnesita Switzerland’s reshaped organization and play a key role in our ongoing transformation. You are responsible for the end-to-end supply chain setup, covering Supply Chain Planning & Operations Control, Procurement & Sourcing, Manufacturing & Assembly, and Logistics, Warehousing & Aftermarket.

In this role, you combine operational leadership with transformation ownership, ensuring reliable daily operations while continuously developing processes, systems, standards, and capabilities.

A key element of the role is the ownership and development of the ERP system as the operational backbone, ensuring consistent data, transparent processes, and reliable execution across the value chain.

Your mission is to build a supply chain function that enables industrial reproducibility, cost competitiveness, delivery reliability, and business transparency, supporting the transition to a scalable, ecosystem-enabled Competence Center.

Your tasks

  • Planning, prioritizing and coordinating end-to-end supply chain processes from demand planning to delivery
  • Leading, developing and aligning teams across planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and aftermarket
  • Ensuring reliable execution of end-to-end supply chain operations from planning to delivery, with strong operational control across projects and operations
  • Driving sourcing strategies and supplier management regarding cost, quality, availability and scalability
  • Managing manufacturing, assembly, logistics and aftermarket processes to ensure delivery reliability and efficiency
  • Owning and developing the ERP system to ensure data quality, process transparency and integrated execution
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to align supply chain performance with product, lifecycle and business requirements and support harmonized standards across production networks
  • Driving continuous improvement and performance management based on KPIs such as delivery reliability, inventory and cost

Your profile

  • Degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations management or a comparable field
  • Proven leadership experience in supply chain, operations, procurement, manufacturing or logistics within industrial environments
  • Relevant professional experience in machinery, plant engineering, manufacturing, heavy industry or comparable technical business
  • Strong experience in end-to-end supply chain processes including planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and aftermarket
  • Experience with ERP-based business process management and strong understanding of data transparency and operational execution
  • Solid knowledge of production planning, material flows, inventory management and operational performance steering
  • Experience in improving processes, reducing complexity and building reliable interfaces across Sales, Engineering, Operations and Finance
  • Strong system thinking and ability to translate business needs into practical supply chain processes and standards, driving transformation and continuous improvement

Languages:German – fluent, English – fluent

Nice to have: Further education in supply chain, operations, or leadership; experience with ERP systems (SAP), process improvement, lean/operational excellence, S&OP, sourcing, logistics, or leading industrial transformation programs.
