About the role

Lifeblood's Strategic Transformation & Readiness team is strengthening its capability across strategy, transformation and delivery to help Lifeblood optimise today and build for tomorrow - exploring new opportunities and creating lasting value for Lifeblood and the communities we serve.

This is a rare opportunity to take on a newly created and highly influential leadership role at Lifeblood. As Head of Strategy Office, you will lead the enterprise strategy agenda for one of Australia's most trusted and purpose-driven organisations. Reporting directly to the Director Strategy & Research and serving as a key strategic partner, you will play a critical role in leading the Strategy Office to ensure Lifeblood's enterprise strategy is clearly defined, coordinated and embedded across the organisation.

Working closely with the Executive and senior leaders, you will create alignment between strategic priorities, organisational planning and delivery, helping ensure we focus on what matters most and achieve the outcomes that matter for Australian donors, patients and communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Lifeblood's enterprise strategy, ensuring our long-term direction is informed by organisational performance, emerging trends and stakeholder insights.
  • Drive strategic alignment and execution by translating strategy into enterprise priorities, plans and measurable outcomes across the organisation.
  • Lead the Strategy Office, integrating strategy, planning, insights and reporting to ensure a coordinated and high-performing enterprise approach.
  • Provide strategic leadership and influence, partnering with the Executive and senior leaders to facilitate decision-making, challenge thinking and build ownership of strategic priorities.
  • Establish visibility of strategic performance, ensuring clear reporting of progress, outcomes, risks and organisational impact.

This is more than a strategy role. It is an opportunity to help shape the future of Lifeblood, bringing together strategic thinking, organisational insight, performance visibility and executive influence to drive enterprise-wide impact.

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for;

  • Significant experience leading enterprise-wide strategy, transformation or organisational planning within a large, complex organisation. Experience within healthcare, research or highly regulated environments delivering critical community services will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated success translating strategic direction into clear priorities, execution plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing executives and senior decision-makers, driving alignment across competing priorities.
  • The credibility, commercial acumen and judgement to act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with experience preparing executive and Board-level materials.
