Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You lead the overall Strategy function within the Advanced Therapies (AT) business area and work closely with strategy heads of other business areas & Corporate Strategy
  • You develop and drive the overall global Advanced Therapies strategy, translating long-term business objectives into a strategic roadmap and actionable organic and inorganic growth priorities
  • You develop and shape strategic focus areas in AI & robotics for medical interventions
  • You steer key strategic initiatives, contributing to the achievement of AT’s strategic and operational objectives
  • You develop a deep understanding of customer needs and leverage customer, market, and industry insights to identify growth opportunities and shape value propositions in alignment with internal stakeholder.
  • You own and facilitate decision-making processes and drive alignment across AT stakeholders on key strategy priorities and decisions
  • You represent AT in cross-BL/cross-BA Strategy & M&A topics and initiatives
  • You are a member of the Global AT Leadership team
  • You lead, develop, and inspire an international team

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You possess deep expertise in the MedTech industry and its dynamics, with a strong understanding of the key technological trends in Advanced Therapies and its clinical segments, including customer needs, priorities, challenges, and competitive landscape
  • You have experience in the medical device business, in imaging and digital technologies, and are familiar with regulatory processes related to medical devices
  • You have a proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies in both consulting and corporate environments
  • You possess deep strategic expertise and a broad professional toolbox of fundamental methods in strategy development, business analysis, growth initiatives, and M&A
  • You bring broad cross-functional experience across strategy, product management and general management
  • You leverage a technical and R&D foundation, combined with a strong understanding of technological trends, esp. digitalization and AI, to shape innovation and business strategies
  • You have a proven track record of leading global strategic initiatives and organizations in complex matrix environments


Your attributes and skills:
  • You bring an innovative mindset and challenge the status quo to identify new growth opportunities and drive business transformation
  • You excel at managing complex stakeholder environments, building alignment across diverse interests, and influencing strategic decisions
  • You have excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • You have fluent English language skills
  • Ideally, you bring experience in AI and data-driven technologies and understand their potential to create customer and business value
