Context & Environment

Are you ready to shape the positioning and stakeholder strategy of TotalEnergies EP Malaysia? We are seeking an experienced Head of Stakeholder Management to lead stakeholder engagement and support strategic decision-making across TEPMY’s portfolio.

Activities

Your Impact

As the Head of Stakeholder Management, you will:

Government & Regulatory Engagement

• Act as senior interface with Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), federal ministries and state authorities.
• Anticipate and influence regulatory developments, fiscal frameworks and policy priorities impacting upstream investments.
• Support PSC negotiations, renewals, development approvals and project sanction processes.

Strategic Stakeholder Management & Positioning

• Develop stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies across all PSCs.
• Position TEPMY as a trusted long-term partner contributing to energy security, development and transition.

Industry Relations & Partnerships

• Maintain strategic relationships with Petronas and industry stakeholders.
• Represent TEPMY in industry forums, policy consultations and cross-industry initiatives.
• Strengthen collaboration on gas value chain, integrated projects and energy transition initiatives.

Community & National Development

• Define and implement community engagement and CSR strategies across operational areas.
• Drive local content development, supplier participation and workforce localization.
• Build institutional partnerships with universities, research institutes and training bodies.

Risk Management, Governance & Reporting

• Identify and manage political, regulatory and social risks and stakeholder-related project risks.
• Establish governance frameworks for stakeholder interactions and ensure compliance.

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Degree in Public Policy, Engineering, Business, Economics or related field (advanced degree preferred)
• 15+ years of experience in stakeholder management, government affairs, strategy or public policy.
• Strong experience engaging with MPM, Petronas, ministries and state authorities.
• Solid understanding of Malaysian O&G regulatory framework, PSC environments and governance systems.
