Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Software QA Department to join our Research and Development Division in Vilnius. In this high-impact role you will hold ownership for our Software applications QA standards, as well as driving a company transition to automation-first quality. You‘ll have the opportunity to lead the development of an internal automation testing tool for our GPS and IoT products, with full autonomy to shape our engineering strategy.

Teltonika’s telematics business unit develops and produces easy-to-use GPS tracking devices for effective fleet management across logistics, agriculture, car sharing, construction, and more. We use the latest technologies to set new standards for the telematics industry.



In this role, you will:

  • Define and execute the department's overall software QA and testing automation strategy, moving the organization toward greater automated test coverage.
  • Directly manage the leads of the software applications/tools and the firmware core testing teams, the test analytics function, and the Automation Manager.
  • Drive adoption of automated testing across firmware and application testing, reducing reliance on manual testing over time.
  • Oversee development of the in-house automation testing tool, ensuring it serves the organization's needs.
  • Use the test analytics function to track quality KPIs, identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Software applications quality complaints and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead recruitment for the Software QA department, enhancing hiring efficiency.
  • Own the department budget, headcount planning, and resourcing across all four functional areas.
  • Report quality KPIs and department performance to senior management.

What we expect of you:

  • Proven experience managing through other managers and team leads.
  • Strong track record in software QA and test automation strategy, ideally having scaled automation across more than one testing domain.
  • Ability to define and drive an automation-first quality roadmap, not just maintain existing processes.
  • Solid technical understanding of test automation frameworks and the ability to guide a team that builds an internal testing tool.
  • Clear, structured communication to align diverse technical teams around a shared quality vision.
  • Strong leadership, people-management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience using test/quality analytics and metrics to drive decisions and report to leadership.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Budget and resource planning experience across multiple teams.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Hands-on background in software engineering or test-tool development.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

Salary:

We appreciate everyone's efforts and experiences, so we offer an attractive salary matching your skillset and field expertise. The salary for this position ranges from 33 Eur/h up to 42 Eur/h (~5500 Eur – 7000 Eur) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise, with the option to get bonuses.

*In an employment agreement, we specify and define a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
