We are looking for a Head of Software Engineering (Industrial Measurement Devices) to strengthen our team and actively shape the future of our software platforms – from initial concept to globally deployed solutions that make industries more efficient and sustainable.

In this role, you will combine technology, leadership and strategy – making a real impact on solutions used every day across sectors such as energy, food, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and oil & gas.

What tasks will you take on?

You will:

• lead and further develop the main department “R&D Product Platforms Software” with around 75 employees and external partners.
• take full responsibility for software development of industrial measurement devices, from requirements engineering and architecture to testing within the entire ecosystem (devices, customer systems, services and tools).
• define and drive the strategic direction of platform software development within Endress+Hauser Flow, including long-term technology and platform roadmaps.
• foster collaboration and standardization across locations and within the global network to leverage synergies across the organization.
• build a high-performing organization, develop talents and promote a culture of ownership, learning and continuous improvement.
• ensure quality, security and robust governance in development processes, including budget planning and controlling.

What do we expect from you?

You:

• hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or a comparable field, combined with extensive experience in embedded software development (minimum 10 years).
• have strong expertise in requirements engineering, data modeling and software platforms including their ecosystems.
• bring proven experience in defining strategies based on technology trends and customer needs, as well as managing external partners.
• think strategically and act with strong execution capabilities, even in dynamic and fast-changing environments.
• lead in an inspiring way and actively foster cross-functional collaboration, ownership and the development of your teams.
• demonstrate strong communication skills in German and English, integrity and experience in managing transformation processes.
