Head of Service Delivery (Operations)

Location: Melbourne | Hybrid

At MUFG Retirement Solutions, we partner with some of Australia’s largest superannuation funds to deliver critical services that impact millions of members. This is a role where operational leadership meets transformation—where you don’t just run a function, you shape how service is delivered.

We’re looking for a Head of Service Delivery (Operations) to lead, evolve and elevate our service model—moving from traditional contact centre structures to a multi-skilled, end-to-end member experience model.

You’ll operate at the intersection of client delivery, operations, and transformation, with accountability for both performance today and redesign for the future.

What you’ll own

Service Delivery Strategy & Transformation

  • Shape and execute a member-centric, multi-channel service strategy
  • Transition the operating model to multi-skilled, end-to-end ownership of member journeys
  • Embed continuous improvement and uplift service design aligned to fund expectations

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Act as a senior partner to superannuation fund clients
  • Influence at C-level across client and internal stakeholders
  • Align service delivery outcomes with commercial, risk and member objectives

Operational Performance

  • Own service delivery performance across:
  • SLAs / KPIs
  • Financial outcomes (budget, forecasting, cost control)
  • Workforce planning and workflow optimisation
  • Lead operational technology and process uplift initiatives

People Leadership

  • Build and lead high-performing, engaged teams
  • Drive a culture of accountability, quality and member-centricity
  • Lift capability to support a more complex, advisory-led service model

Risk & Governance

  • Embed a strong risk and compliance culture
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks across superannuation and financial services
  • Manage operational risk through robust governance and controls

What you bring

  • Proven experience leading large-scale service delivery or operations functions (Head of / GM level)
  • Deep exposure to superannuation, financial services administration, or regulated environments
  • A track record of operating model transformation (not just optimisation)
  • Strong commercial acumen across cost, revenue and client outcomes
  • Confidence engaging with senior client stakeholders and executives
  • The ability to influence without authority across complex organisational structures
