An exciting opportunity for an outstanding, internationally experienced leader to build on the strengths of one of Kuala Lumpur’s most established international schools and lead MKIS into its next chapter of growth, innovation and success.
Mont’Kiara International School (M’KIS) is one of Kuala Lumpur’s most established international schools. Founded in 1994, M’KIS is an accredited IB World School offering the full International Baccalaureate continuum: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), alongside the US High School Diploma. The school serves a diverse community of more than 700 students representing over 45 nationalities and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Nestled in the affluent suburb of Mont'Kiara, known for its leafy streets, green spaces and cosmopolitan atmosphere, the school is particularly popular with expatriate families. Around 80% of students live within walking distance, fostering a strong sense of community and connection among families. The school enjoys a strong academic reputation across the city and achieved a 100% pass rate in the 2026 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), with the cohort averaging 35.1 points.
In August 2026, M’KIS joined Nord Anglia Education’s global family of schools, connecting students and colleagues to an extensive network of educational expertise, global learning opportunities and professional development.
