Job Description

Recreating a magical 16th-century royal village near Madrid, Six Senses Quexigal will welcome families, travellers, weekenders, and honeymooners to enjoy events, celebrations, and retreats. Along with the great hall, more than 60 guest accommodations, suites, and a villa, all maintain the soul of the original palace, set within a 100-hectare country estate.

As Head of Sales, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness.

Sustainability, Wellness and Out of the Ordinary experiences are at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. I will safeguard these pillars and its strategic planning and development and ensure all directives, practices and initiatives are implemented, embraced, adopted within the hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities
As Head of Sales, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Sales department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards. My key role is to drive the right business at the right price to ensure the resort achieves budgeted occupancy, rate and revenue.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and oversee the resort’s sales strategy, driving business growth and ensuring the achievement and surpassing of established revenue budgets and sales targets across all market segments.
  • Develop, manage, and strengthen key client relationships and strategic partnerships to maximise commercial opportunities and enhance market presence.
  • Represent the resort through national and international sales activities, industry events, roadshows, and targeted sales initiatives in collaboration with Six Senses, IHG, and independent business development efforts.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Marketing Team to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and revenue streams, contributing to the development and execution of the annual commercial strategy and budget.
  • Oversee the accurate management and reporting of sales activities through the hotel’s CRM system, ensuring all opportunities, account activity, and pipeline reporting are effectively maintained.
  • Drive revenue performance and elevate the profile and positioning of the resort, spa, and Six Senses brand through strategic sales leadership and relationship management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, fostering a commercially focused and performance-driven culture through ongoing coaching, training, and support.
  • Operate the property consistent with all legal, statutory and financial requirements and documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, host management practices and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed and maintained to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.

Qualifications
To execute the position of Head of Sales, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

  • Possess some equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Sales & Marketing, Hotel or Business Management and more than five years’ experience in a sales and marketing role, preferred.
  • The ideal candidate would lead and own the leisure market strategy for Spain, with the vision and commercial acumen to expand into other high-value international source markets.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Valid Spanish Work Permit or European Union citizenship is required for this role.
