Job Description

DNV Life Sciences works with customers in complex, highly regulated markets. To succeed, we need strong, consistent, and professional sales execution across the organisation.

As Head of Sales Performance, you will help shape how we sell. Your role is to strengthen sales effectiveness across regions and service lines by introducing clear ways of working, practical sales methods, and strong coaching.

You will work closely with sales leaders and teams to ensure they have the right tools, playbooks, and support to turn market opportunities into long‑term customer value and sustainable growth.

This is a senior role with broad impact, focused on enablement and influence rather than direct line management.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and continuously improving a consistent sales approach for each of our industry verticals, suited to professional services and complex solution sales
  • Making sure selected sales methodologies are practically used in daily work, including CRM, pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and forecasting
  • Setting clear standards for sales performance, governance, and accountability across the organisation
  • Leading the development and use of practical sales playbooks that help teams focus on the right customers, value propositions, and sales opportunities
  • Strengthening Key Account Management to support long‑term customer relationships, retention, and growth
  • Building strong sales coaching capabilities, especially among sales managers
  • Ensuring sales training, onboarding, and development are clearly linked to real sales behaviour and results
  • Working closely with marketing, finance, operations, digital, and governance teams to ensure alignment and compliance

How you will make a difference

  • You bring clarity, structure, and consistency to sales execution
  • You improve sales quality and outcomes by enabling people — not controlling them
  • You help build a strong commercial culture focused on customer value and long‑term growth

Working in a value-driven organization with a strong purpose of safeguarding life, property, and the environment, and a vision of being a trusted voice in tackling global transformations, we offer a great opportunity to use your skills to make a difference. We offer:

  • A strategic role with high visibility and impact across the organization
  • Close collaboration with senior leaders, experts, and global stakeholders
  • A competitive salary and benefits package (local conditions apply)
  • A dynamic, international environment with strong professional communities
  • A strong company culture with an emphasis on competence development
  • Significant room for personal and professional growth
  • A hybrid work model
DNV is an Equal Opportunity Employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to gender, religion, race, national or ethnic origin, cultural background, social group, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, age or political opinion. Diversity is fundamental to our culture and we invite you to be part of this diversity.

Experience

  • Senior experience in sales performance, sales excellence, or sales enablement
  • Background in professional services or complex solution selling
  • Hands‑on experience working with sales methodologies and embedding them into everyday sales processes
  • Proven ability to coach sales teams and sales leaders to improve performance over time

Skills and mindset

  • Strong understanding of sales theory and different sales methodologies and complex, professional services selling
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Pragmatic and structured, focused on impact rather than process for its own sake
  • Comfortable working without direct line authority, building trust through expertise and collaboration
Security and compliance with statutory requirements in the countries in which we operate is essential for DNV. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates as part of the offer process, in accordance with applicable country-specific laws and practices.
