Job Description

The Head of Sales & Marketing (HoSM) will take the helm in managing our two primary routes to market (Trade Merchant and Distributor) ensuring we consistently hit and exceed our ambitious sales targets. As a dynamic leader, the HoSM will inspire and guide a diverse team that includes Inbound and Outbound Telesales, Field Sales, Key Account Executives, and Business Development & Marketing professionals. This role is crucial in turning our company’s vision into strategic, actionable plans that drive measurable results. The HoSM will champion efforts to boost performance, increase revenue, achieve budgeted EBITDA levels, and fuel both organic and inorganic growth for the business.

Executive Leadership and Management

  • Play a vital role as an engaged member of the Monarch Water Executive Leadership Team, driving Strategic Planning and elevating Sales Performance across the business.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with key stakeholders, including Marketing and the Commercial team, fostering strong partnerships throughout the wider organisation.
  • Leverage your extensive sales expertise to inspire the Leadership team, sharing innovative ideas, best practices, and effective solutions across all departments.
  • Continually review the right Sales model for the business ensuring we are delivering for our customers needs and business requirements.
  • Execution of the established 3 year strategic sales plan that delivers growth and exceptional financial performance in addition to strengthening the talent within all areas of responsibility

Field Sales / Merchandiser

  • Work in partnership with the Marketing Team to ensure delivery against new business acquisition and sales conversation targets in line with revenue and EBITDA requirements.
  • Ensure Field Sales Managers are driving performance and meeting conversion targets through the engagement local plans and measured objectives.
  • Work in support of the field sales teams in delivering new, long term customer and business relationships

Business Development

  • Develop dynamic and adaptable strategies that strengthen the connection between consumers, installers, and points of sale, driving growth and unlocking exciting new business and customer opportunities.
  • Accountable for overseeing the relationships within the group for export and intercompany sales opportunities. Develop and work with existing Culligan companies and geographies across the globe to broaden their portfolio to include Monarch Water products.
  • Drive the business to lead the way in product initiatives and development across key sales channels, providing insightful guidance to the leadership team on emerging trends and evolving needs within both direct and adjacent markets.

Internal Telesales – Inbound / Outbound

  • Drive the performance of the Internal inbound and outbound sales teams through the Internal sales lead ensuring delivery and conversion of leads to sales.
  • Oversee the development of adhoc outbound revenue-specific campaign drives.
  • Oversee that call abandonment rates are below target balancing the inbound vs outbound needs of the business

Customer Experience – Scheduling / Aftercare / Billings and Payments

  • Indirectly drive the performance of the wider internal service / customer team ensuring the customer end-to-end journey is positive, delivering our NPS targets, and driving improvements in Google and Trust pilot reviews.
  • Work in partnership with the finance team to ensure a robust process is in place for billing and payments

Culture & Talent

  • Champion the timely and impactful completion of the Personal Performance Management (PPM) cycle for all direct reports, creating opportunities for meaningful development conversations and ensuring individual goals are perfectly aligned with team and organisational priorities.
  • Lead the charge in enhancing our culture, driving initiatives that elevate us toward our goal of becoming an employer of choice as reflected in our employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS).

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in leadership roles managing Sales & Marketing functions within relevant industries, possessing a natural gravitas that fosters trust and respect across diverse teams.
  • Skilled at establishing key metrics, implementing regular review cycles, and driving continuous process improvements in Field/Inside Sales and Digital Sales.
  • A proven track record of significantly boosting new business development and expanding market opportunities.
  • Experience in realigning organisational structure and resources to better target market segments and sales channels, resulting in consistent year-over-year revenue growth.
  • Deep expertise in B2B sales dynamics and strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to exceed their objectives.
  • A strategic thinker known for driving sales growth and consistently delivering impactful results.
