The Head of Sales Additives Americas is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the commercial success and growth of the Additives business in the Americas region. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic and diverse sales team, manage strategic customer relationships, and shape the direction of business development efforts across North and Latin America. You will play a key part in transforming the business through innovation, growth strategies, and cost-out initiatives, while ensuring high performance and operational excellence.

Clariant’s Additives business is a leading supplier of innovative specialty chemicals that deliver functional performance across diverse industries including plastics, coatings, printing inks, adhesives, textiles, and e-mobility applications. Responsibilities

  • Lead customer relationship enhancement and drive new business development to expand the customer base
  • Manage margins within Pricing Council guidelines and oversee distributor performance and targets
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of 15 team members across the Americas ranging from Sales Account Managers, Field Technical Service Representatitves, and Inside Sales Managers
  • Foster high-performance culture, develop talent, and ensure improvement in Engagement KPIs
  • Lead sales forecasting and budgeting in collaboration with Supply Chain to ensure accuracy
  • Identify and propose improvement initiatives focusing on cost optimization and growth opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional projects across North America and Latin America aligned with company objectives
  • Drive transformation as a change agent responding to evolving business conditions
  • Lead initiatives to establish and expand production capabilities in the Americas, working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Business Development teams

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate brings a degree in Chemistry, Engineering Technology, or MBA, combined with at least 6 years of commercial leadership experience and demonstrated expertise in finance, strategy, marketing and operations
  • Demonstrated commercial competencies and experience in managing large teams.
  • Robust knowledge of the additives industry and understanding of regional market dynamics in the Americas.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus.
