Job Description

Role: Head of Sales (SKODA)

The Role
The main responsibilities include:

  • To deliver ŠKODA Australia’s volume and market share objectives.
  • Ensuring Network performance in Sales area.
  • Plan Sales volume, both short and long term, down to model and variants
  • Develop fleet business to become a strong reliable pillar of the business, optimizing and growing profitable fleet business
  • Volume and Market Planning
  • Evaluate Product and pricing decisions in context of Sales Base Plan and Market fit
  • Managing and steering the Sales team & Network
  • Sales Campaign Management and Budget planning
  • Reporting
  • Fleet Sales and Management
  • Vehicle Ordering
  • People Development and management of the team (6)
  • Stakeholder / relationship management with factory and Dealers

Selection Criteria
To succeed in this role, candidates will need to possess the following:

  • Senior Stakeholder Management.
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of Sales and building a brand.
  • High attention to detail and time management skills. Strong automotive industry knowledge (market and technical).
  • 5 years+ automotive experience.
  • Team management/leadership experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant area preferred
  • Strong advisory, communication , Practical problem solving, skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with an operational focus.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills across varying audiences (e.g. customer contact, internal technical contact, marketing agency contact, dealer contact, local press contact – varying audience)
  • High attention to detail and time management skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment for vehicle registration and specification as well as advertising and communications
  • Ability to steer and hold account external and internal partners.
  • Project management
