Job Description

HRSI is conducting an executive search on behalf of a leading global bank in Pakistan. Scope of work included end-toend ownership of the Bank's entire Retail Banking franchise, including traditional retail, digital retail, digital SME, Payments/Digital, Cards & CCPL, and ecosystem-led revenue streams. Build and scale a product-led, digital-first retail and SME banking business, strengthening deposits, payments, lending, card profitability, merchant solutions, and embedded finance in alignment with the Bank's overall retail strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Ownership, P&L & Growth Strategy

• Own the entire Retail Banking P&L
• Drive revenue through digital monetization levers, card/payments unit economics, cross-sell, SME/merchant revenue streams and portfolio optimization.
• Define and execute a unified growth strategy

Growth Engine Leadership

• Build and optimize digital funnels across digital and
  traditional baking.
• Deploy growth loops, referral engines, merchant funnels, viral mechanics, and performance marketing.
• Deep R&D and execute unique ideas and reduce CAC

Digital Sales & Distributions Excellence

• Translate branch-banking expertise into scalable
  digital sales engines.
• Drive deposit growth and cross-sell across the app.
• Oversee digital stack supporting retail, SME, payments, cards, merchant acceptance.

Product Technology & Integrations

• Work with Product and Engineering teams using agile squads, sprints, and MVP-to-scale delivery.
• Enable eKYC, biometrics, real-time risk scoring, and instant account activation.

• Payment & Eco-System - Lead payments strategy across digital solutions. Build ecosystem partnerships with apps & platforms.
• Leadership & Culture -Build teams blending banking expertise with tech-startup and mindset of a global digital bank.
• Frameworks - Strong commands over digital, tech, risk. Operates within SBP regulated frameworks.
• Problem Solving - Address revenue leakage, funnel drop-offs, and CAC inefficiencies. Resolve growth & portfolio performance challenges.
• Decision Making - Full authority over Retail Banking strategy, growth roadmap, and product priorities. Ownership of Retail Banking P&L, revenue

 SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Experience 15+ years of experience in Retail Banking with senior leadership exposure in sales and distribution at a leading bank in Pakistan.
• Expertise Proven success in digital acquisition, growth funnels, CAC/LTV, activation, and retention. Proven record leading large cross-functional teams across a digital bank. Strong commercial
  acumen and portfolio monetization expertise. Proven track record of delivering strong P&L outcomes.
