The Head of Research & Development will lead innovation and product development initiatives, driving the creation of new product pipelines while optimizing costs and processes. This role requires a strategic leader who can integrate emerging technologies and deliver impactful solutions that support business growth and market competitiveness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the New Product Development CAPEX budget for the financial year.
• Oversee and control the R&D OPEX budget effectively and efficiently.
• Identify and introduce new technologies through industry engagement and research.
• Lead end-to-end new product development aligned with marketing requirements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Oversee product development for international markets, meeting defined cost and timeline targets.
• Drive initiatives to improve product gross profit (GP) through cost optimization.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing R&D team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field).
• Minimum 15 years of industry experience, with significant exposure in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of product development, manufacturing processes, and innovation management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams.
• Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and emerging technologies.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
