This role covers regulatory affairs responsibilities for RWE’s activities in Japan. Based in Tokyo, the role focuses on understanding, engaging with, and communicating relevant policy and regulatory developments affecting offshore wind.
The Head of Regulatory Affairs serves as the internal lead for advising project and business teams on national regulatory matters and acts as the key external interface with policymakers and associations in Japan.
Seeking candidates with government relations experience with exposure to issues relevant to renewable energy development (particularly offshore wind), construction and operations within the Japanese market; experience interacting and communicating effectively with multiple public-sector stakeholders; familiarity with the regulatory environment, politics, law and other issues that impact development of renewable energy projects.
