We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of Quality and Compliance to lead our national quality function—ensuring excellence, consistency, and regulatory compliance across all regions.
About the Role
This is a leadership position responsible for managing and developing a team of Quality and Compliance Managers, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered across the network.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Systems, Innovation and Quality Assurance, you will be the driving force behind quality strategy, regulatory excellence, and continuous improvement.
This is a national role requiring regular travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and develop a team of Quality and Compliance Managers, setting clear expectations and driving high performance
Act as the organisational lead on quality assurance and compliance strategy across all franchise locations
Ensure services consistently achieve and maintain high ratings with regulators including Care Quality Commission (CQC), Care Inspectorate (CI), Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), and Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA)
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key regulatory bodies and external stakeholders
Provide strategic oversight of audits, compliance frameworks, and governance processes
Support Franchise Owners in achieving ‘Outstanding’ or equivalent regulatory ratings
Support with the development and delivery of best-in-class training and quality improvement initiatives
Drive consistency in policies, procedures, and operational standards across all regions
Act as an advisor to the senior leadership team on quality, compliance, and regulatory risk
Lead on continuous improvement, innovation, and the embedding of a quality-first culture
What We’re Looking For
Proven senior leadership experience within health and social care quality and compliance
Extensive knowledge of UK-wide regulatory frameworks (CQC, CI, CIW, RQIA)
Demonstrable track record of achieving high regulatory ratings across multiple services or regions
Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams
Strategic thinker with the ability to influence at senior level
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Willingness and ability to travel nationally on a regular basis
Qualifications & Experience
QCF Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care (essential)
Significant experience in multi-site or franchise environments (desirable)
Full UK driving licence
