JOB PROFILE: HEAD OF QUALITATIVE MARKET RESEARCH

Ipsos Vietnam is looking for an enthusiastic, people-centric, and result-oriented business leader to join our team and help accelerate growth for the company

PURPOSE

  • Trusted with work with the Ipsos brand for the good of the business
  • To ensure financial targets are met
  • To lead project teams in the design, set-up, and management of leading-edge research.
  • To carry out account management activities – managing existing client relationships, including seeking repeat business, and actively seeking major and new client opportunities and management

OUTPUTS/ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Being responsible for the profit and loss of a business unit
  • Generating business with existing and new clients
  • Managing client accounts, ensuring current and future successes in sales, profit, and relationship
  • Developing and executing strategies to implement digitalization according to Ipsos priorities
  • Collaborating with other business units to offer integrated solutions to meet client’s needs
  • Coaching and nurturing junior team members on research and client service skills
  • Directing complex and higher-value work, displaying well-developed consultation skills and knowledge
  • Providing strategic insights and recommendations from research data to add value to clients
  • Demonstrating and leading others to increase company awareness through internal support, cross-selling and marketing
  • Being an ambassador and guardian of the brand for Ipsos, displaying appropriate knowledge and behaviors
  • Building a network of relationships that enhances the area you work in, specialism and company Performance
  • Being keen to learn and proactively develop oneself and others
  • Challenging the status quo and pushing for innovation within Ipsos Vietnam and with our clients

Manage a team to:

  • Handle several different projects at once, ensuring time, budget and profitability requirements are met
  • Produce results and research that are of high quality and consistent with agreed outputs
  • Produce proposals that meet and where possible exceed the brief requirements
  • Ensure all research instruments facilitate strong data collection capability
  • Provide accurate analysis and interpretation of data
  • Liaise professional and effectively with the Operation departments to ensure we deliver what we say we will
  • Grow as experts in innovative research approaches and impactful story telling
  • Build their long-term career at Ipsos

BACKGROUND

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of strong experience in any of the following fields: marketing, branding, communication, or marketing research
  • Strong experience of using research, including both qualitative and quantitative
  • Strong client relationship management and business development skills
  • Ability to design sound business plans outlining market situation, clients, people, collaboration, and financial considerations

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Good communication skills, written and oral
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Well-developed people management abilities
  • Professional and respected client service skills
  • Expert level in presenting and facilitating - ability to make sound conclusions and recommendations for action
  • Ability to understand and run budgets
  • Ability to build strong link with the rest of the business
  • A strong level of drive, resilience, tenacity, flexibility, and initiative

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Social Science, Statistics, Business, or related studies
