About the role
We're hiring a Head of PR to own how Beagle (a Corgi company) tells our story to the world. You'll set our narrative, build our media presence, and produce the content that gets us noticed, all with the momentum of real press traction and a direct line to leadership. This is a high-ownership role for a sharp writer and storyteller who can think strategically and execute hands-on, from pitching journalists to self-producing short-form video.
What you'll work on
- Narrative & positioning — owning Beagle's story, messaging, and positioning end-to-end
- Media relations — building real relationships with journalists and landing meaningful coverage
- Announcements — press releases and launch comms for product, and company news
What you won't deal with
- Layers of approval — you'll own comms and move fast, not route everything through committee
- Siloed work — you'll work across PR, brand, content, and social
- Process for the sake of process — no busywork, just stories that move the needle
- Ghostwriting in a vacuum — you'll have direct access to founders and leadership
You should have
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
- Strong instincts around storytelling, positioning, and narrative strategy
- Experience self-producing high-quality, high-converting short-form video content
- Experience in communications, PR, media, product marketing, brand strategy, or founder-led storytelling
- The ability to operate both strategically and hands-on across execution
- A deeply organized, proactive, and relationship-oriented approach
Bonus
- Experience in insurance, fintech, proptech, or other regulated/complex domains
- An existing network of media and journalist relationships
Interview Process
About the interview
- Intro call — 10 min. We learn about you, you learn about Corgi.
- Leadership conversation — A deeper discussion about your experience, how you think about story and brand, and what you want to build next.
- Work trial — A real-world project that reflects the actual work you'd do here (for example, a comms plan or a short-form video). Preferably done in our office so you can meet the team and get a feel for how we work. Remote take-home option available if needed.
- Team walkthrough — You present your work trial results to the team and we discuss your approach, trade-offs, and decisions together.
