Job Title: Head of Projects Delivery
Location: Cape Town
Salary: R90000 - R100000 per month + benefits
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused leadership role responsible for managing and delivering a portfolio of AI-enabled, digital transformation, and change initiatives within a complex operational environment.
The role is strongly execution-driven, with a focus on translating strategy into practical delivery, ensuring structured project execution, and driving measurable operational and commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver a portfolio of AI, digital, and transformation projects aligned to strategic and operational priorities. Lead end-to-end project delivery including scoping, business case development, planning, RAID management, execution, benefits tracking, and closure.
- Ensure all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining a strong focus on outcomes and value realization. Translate digital and AI strategy into executable initiatives and work closely with technology and data teams to implement automation and intelligent solutions.
- Identify and drive opportunities for AI adoption, process digitisation, and workflow automation. Support the deployment of tools such as RPA, AI/ML models, and data-driven decision frameworks. Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and embedded into day-to-day operations.
- Lead transformation and change initiatives across process improvement, capability uplift, and digital enablement. Drive adoption and ensure business readiness, embedding continuous improvement and a digital-first mindset across teams.
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, ensuring consistency in project delivery, reporting, and tools. Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and cross-functional impacts across multiple initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, decision-making forums, and alignment sessions. Build strong, collaborative relationships across business, technology, data, and operational teams.
- Support capability building by coaching teams on project delivery, digital adoption, and benefits realization, strengthening overall transformation delivery capability.

Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project or programme management, with a strong focus on digital transformation and change delivery. Experience delivering AI-enabled or data-driven initiatives, including automation and process digitisation, within operational or service-led environments.
Skills and Capabilities
- Strong project and programme management expertise with the ability to operate in complex delivery environments. Solid understanding of AI and digital transformation concepts, with a practical approach to implementation.
- Experience working with automation, data, and digital tools, alongside familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or Lean. Ability to bridge the gap between business and technology, with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Highly results-driven, with a focus on execution, problem-solving, and delivering measurable outcomes.
Working Relationships
Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Operations, Technology, Data, HR, Finance, and other support functions, as well as external vendors and delivery partners where required.
Working Model
Primarily office-based with some flexibility and occasional travel depending on project requirements.
