About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Projects to provide strategic leadership and oversight to Minetek's global project portfolio, directing teams of Project Managers, supplementary operations personnel, and cross-functional experts.

The role will be accountable for steering projects through the entire delivery lifecycle, ensuring adherence to enterprise-wide milestones while optimising resource allocation, and delivering exceptional value in accordance with organisational quality standards, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global project strategies aligned with business objectives, growth, and profitability.
  • Lead project teams and promote a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Oversee project portfolios, financial performance, prioritisation, and ROI.
  • Drive process improvements, change management, risk mitigation, and operational resilience.
  • Report project performance and strategic outcomes to senior leadership and the Board.
  • Build strong relationships with international clients, partners, regulators, and suppliers.
  • Provide executive leadership on operational improvements, business development, and innovation.
  • Ensure global compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and ESG standards.
  • Champion Minetek’s values and foster an inclusive culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Advanced qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or Business, with relevant executive-level certifications.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar global projects from start to finish.
  • Strong strategic risk management skills, including geopolitical, supply chain, and operational risks.
  • Proven executive leadership experience, including leading senior teams and driving organisational change.
  • Innovative and commercially focused, with the ability to improve project outcomes, margins, and efficiency through technology.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, customer relationship, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experienced in international contracts, project documentation, and variation management.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills across multicultural and international environments.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, geographically dispersed, and remote teams.
