About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Projects & Infrastructure, the Head of Projects will provide senior leadership and oversight across a complex program of work, ensuring initiatives are planned, governed and delivered in line with organisational priorities, safety requirements and service readiness expectations.
This role operates with a high level of autonomy and works closely with executive leaders, clinical partners and corporate teams to ensure the successful mobilisation of new services within a live hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee the planning and delivery of various enterprise-wide project activities
• Translate strategic planning into operationally ready services
• Establish and maintain clear governance, assurance and reporting arrangements
• Oversee project sequencing, interdependencies, risks and resourcing
• Provide executive level advice on delivery status, risks and mitigations
• Support workforce mobilisation and service commencement activities
• Ensure projects operate within approved financial, procurement and governance frameworks
• Lead and assure high impact initiatives to ensure safe, timely delivery

About You
You are a senior project leader with a strong track record delivering complex programs in regulated or service critical environments. You bring a pragmatic, outcomes focused approach and are comfortable operating at executive level to resolve issues and drive delivery.
You will bring:
• Tertiary qualifications in project management, business, finance or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Extensive experience leading large scale, complex programs or portfolios
• Strong governance, assurance and risk management capability
• Commercial and financial acumen, including oversight of budgets and procurement
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Experience in health, government or complex service delivery environments (desirable)
