Motion Controls International (MCi), a Flex company, is the global market leader in mirror glass and power-folding actuators. As part of our continued growth, MCi is expanding its portfolio into advanced automotive actuation solutions, including Active Aerodynamics and Motor Cooling Management systems.

To support our growing organization, we are looking for a Head of Project Management to lead our Project Management function and ensure successful delivery of our project portfolio through effective project leadership, governance, resource planning, and continuous improvement of project management practices.

In this role, you will lead and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Management Consultants, strengthen execution capabilities, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the required quality level.

What a typical day looks like

  • Lead and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Management Consultants.
  • Support project teams by helping resolve risks, issues, resource constraints, and delivery challenges.
  • Allocate Project Managers across projects and ensure effective resource planning.
  • Monitor project portfolio performance, including timelines, quality, budgets, risks, and resource utilization.
  • Oversee project and program budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the project lifecycle framework, governance processes, and project delivery standards.
  • Maintain and improve key project management processes, including:
    • Project Lifecycle Management
    • Capacity Planning
    • Portfolio Management
    • Project Tracking and Reporting
    • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Risk and Issue Management
    • Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and maintain project governance, KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting.
  • Support portfolio prioritization and resource allocation in line with business objectives.
  • Promote the consistent use of project management methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices across the organization.

The experience we're looking to add to our team

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Significant experience leading complex projects, programs, and project portfolios in a manufacturing and/or product development environment.
  • Experience leading and developing teams of Project Managers or similar project professionals.
  • Strong understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry; Automotive industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align senior leaders, customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience establishing and improving project management processes, governance frameworks, KPIs, reporting, and portfolio management practices.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
