Job Summary


MC Systems is
seeking an experienced and visionary
Head of Product Management –
Fintech Products

to establish and lead its product management
function.


This strategic
leadership role is responsible for defining how the organization discovers,
prioritizes, develops, commercializes and manages products across its banking,
payments, and business SaaS portfolios. The successful candidate will lead
product strategy, governance, commercialization and growth while building and
developing a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Owners.


During the
initial phase of the role, the incumbent will have direct hands-on
responsibility for managing and growing 3 flagship product lines while
establishing the product management function and operating model:


  • Phoenix – Core Banking Platform

  • BizPay – Payroll & Business SaaS Solutions

  • Payments – Digital Payments Solutions


As the
portfolio matures, the
Head of Product Management – Fintech Products

will transition from day-to-day product ownership to strategic leadership,
oversight and development of a scalable product organization capable of driving
innovation, customer value and commercial success across the portfolio.


Key
Responsibilities


Product
Strategy & Ownership


  • Own the product vision, roadmap and success metrics
    for Phoenix, BizPay, and Payments.

  • Lead product discovery by assessing customer needs,
    market trends, competitive dynamics and regulatory requirements,
    translating insights into actionable product strategy.

  • Define and prioritize roadmaps and product backlogs
    with engineering based on customer value, commercial impact and strategic
    objectives.

  • Drive productization initiatives, including
    packaging, onboarding, configuration, pricing, servicing and scalability.

  • Direct Product Owners responsible for translating
    product strategy into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional
    specifications and backlog management.

  • Own product acceptance and business validation,
    including defining acceptance criteria, facilitating User Acceptance
    Testing (UAT) and securing business sign-off prior to go-live.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for product and
    market capabilities during pre-sales engagements, customer presentations,
    demonstrations and complex solution discussions.


Product
Leadership & Team Development


  • Build, lead, mentor and develop a high-performing
    team of Product Managers and Product Owners.

  • Establish product management standards, competency
    frameworks, career pathways and performance expectations.

  • Foster a customer-centric, outcome-driven culture
    focused on measurable business value.


Product
Operating Model & Governance


  • Design and implement product management frameworks,
    governance practices, prioritization methodologies and delivery processes.

  • Establish effective UAT, product acceptance and
    business validation processes across the division.

  • Develop and monitor product performance metrics,
    including adoption, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, value
    realization and delivery predictability.

  • Promote data-driven decision-making across the
    product portfolio.


Commercial
Growth & Client Engagement


  • Partner with Business Development and Sales teams to
    support product-led growth initiatives.

  • Lead product solutioning efforts for RFPs, customer
    proposals and pre-sales engagements.

  • Own product packaging, pricing, commercialization and
    business case for new revenue lines.

  • Convert bespoke client requests into scalable,
    repeatable product capabilities and revenue-generating solutions.

  • Act as the senior product representative in client,
    partner and executive stakeholder engagements.


Delivery
Partnership


  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure product
    strategies are achievable and aligned to organizational objectives.

  • Ensure product decisions appropriately consider
    technical architecture, regulatory requirements, operational realities and
    customer outcomes.

  • Balance innovation, delivery timelines and commercial
    priorities across the product portfolio.


Qualifications
& Experience


The ideal
candidate will possess:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science,
    Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Master's degree is an advantage

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in product
    management, including at least 3 years leading Product Managers and/or
    Product Owners

  • Proven experience owning product vision, product
    strategy, roadmaps, product discovery, backlog prioritization and feature
    delivery

  • Strong experience within Fintech, banking or
    remittance payments, payroll, SaaS platforms, or related technology
    domains

  • Demonstrated success taking products from concept
    through launch and measurable commercial outcomes

  • Experience presenting to and influencing executive
    leadership teams, boards and senior stakeholders

  • Experience commercializing B2B or B2B2C solutions for
    financial institutions is highly desirable.

  • Direct experience in one or more of the following
    domains:

    • Core Banking Platforms (e.g., Fiserv
      Phoenix)

    • Payroll and HR Solutions

    • Payment Systems (ACH, Cards,
      Wallets, Switching Networks)

  • Exposure to API-based products platform, ecosystems
    and system integrations.

  • Familiarity with Caribbean and emerging-market
    financial services environments and related regulatory frameworks.

  • Agile or Product Management certifications
    such as CSPO, CSM, SAFe POPM, or equivalent would be an asset.

    governance, practices and talent development frameworks.

About The Jamaica National Group

On February 1, 2017, The Jamaica National Group, a powerful, Jamaican mutually-owned global business, became a reality and the country’s third largest commercial bank, JN Bank, was launched.

Following the re-submission of the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) application for a commercial banking license in November 2013 to the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ), the application was approved by the BOJ in February 2015. The country’s third largest financial institution at the time, the Society commenced the process to convert the building society into a commercial bank and to restructure the JN Group.

The JN Group has been restructured to ensure compliance with the new Banking Services Act. The reorganisation of the JN Group involved the establishment of the JN Financial Group, a financial holding company, which will own the new JN Bank and all other companies in the JN Group that offer financial services.
