The Role

As Head of Product Line – Fire Detection, Building & Rolling Stock, you will hold strategic responsibility for a key part of Consilium's portfolio, driving innovation, business alignment, and long-term growth.

You will lead the development and execution of a forward-looking product strategy that supports our business objectives and strengthens our position in the global safety market. Managing a global team of Product Managers and Product Specialists, you will foster collaboration across regions and functions while building a strong "One Consilium" culture.

You will own the full product lifecycle, from roadmap and portfolio management through to market positioning and business performance. Working closely with R&D, Operations, Sales, and other key stakeholders, you will ensure our solutions meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and the highest performance and safety standards.

You will also play a central role in identifying new business opportunities, driving profitable growth, and ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product line strategy for Fire detection, Building and Rolling Stock solutions

  • Lead, develop, and grow a global team of Product Managers and Product specialists

  • Own portfolio management, product lifecycle planning, and roadmap prioritization

  • Partner with R&D and Technical leadership to maximize business value and ROI from development investment

  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and new growth opportunities

  • Support the commercial organization in hitting sales and profitability targets

  • Optimize pricing strategies, margins, and product positioning

  • Ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and data-driven decision-making

  • Represent Consilium in customer meetings, industry forums, and strategic partnerships

  • Champion cross-functional collaboration and a strong global team culture

Your Profile

We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader with a passion for technology, innovation, and safety.

You likely have:

  • A university degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience in a technology industry with regulated, safety-critical products. Direct exposure to fire detection, building safety, or rolling stock is a strong advantage

  • Proven experience within the safety technology industry, ideally related to fire detection, building safety, or rolling stock

  • Strong leadership experience, including leading and motivating international teams

  • A solid understanding of product management, product lifecycle processes, and business-driven product development

  • Experience working in global and cross-cultural environments

  • Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, and growth targets

  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Experience with agile development methodologies is considered a strong advantage

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
