ReOrbit is looking for Head of Product Assurance & Quality to build and lead a scalable PA/Q department supporting satellite development, qualification, and industrialized manufacturing

As our Head of Product Assurance & Quality, you will be responsible for ReOrbit's Product Assurance and Quality strategy across the full satellite project lifecycle, spanning prototype missions, batch production, and high-rate constellation manufacturing, requiring both classical space mission assurance and modern industrial quality leadership.

This job can be based in our headquarter in Helsinki, Finland or Bengaluru, India.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement company-wide Product Assurance and Quality strategy across the full satellite lifecycle.

• Lead and develop the PA/Q organization across engineering, manufacturing, AIT, and supply chain.

• Own nonconformance management (NCR/MRB), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action systems

• Ensure compliance with ECSS and customer-specific requirements while maintaining production efficiency.

• Establish quality metrics (yield, defects, escapes, supplier performance, cost of poor quality).

• Drive supplier quality assurance, including qualification, surveillance, and incoming inspection strategies. Support design, manufacturing, test, and launch readiness reviews Act as the final authority on product quality risks and acceptance decisions.

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Product Assurance or Quality within satellite, aerospace or defence manufacturing.

• Significant experience in leadership of quality or engineering teams.

• Proven experience in defining and establishing a company wide PA/Q strategy and quality management systems

• Strong knowledge of ECSS/NASA/MIL standards and space hardware lifecycle processes.

• Experience in both development/qualification programs and recurring production environments.

• Strong experience with NCR, RCCA, CAPA, and supplier quality management.

• Ability to drive quality improvements without negatively impacting production rate.

Location of the role

• This role will be based at our HQ in Helsinki, Finland. We support relocation to Helsinki, and integration into Finnish society.
