The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially driven and strategic leader to join our Saudi Arabia team as Head of Private Strategic Accounts. Based in Riyadh and reporting to the Head of Market Access, this role will be responsible for shaping and executing the long-term commercial strategy across priority private healthcare accounts in Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will build and strengthen executive partnerships across private healthcare providers, hospital groups, insurance companies, and purchasing organizations to expand patient access, accelerate portfolio growth, and maximize business value. This role will play a pivotal part in preparing, launching, and driving the uptake of innovative products, with a particular focus on ensuring account readiness, securing access pathways, and embedding a future-ready customer engagement model.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the long-term Private Market commercial strategy in Saudi Arabia.
• Drive revenue growth, market share expansion, portfolio optimization, and profitability across strategic private accounts.
• Lead strategic account planning with major private healthcare providers, hospital groups, insurers, and purchasing organizations.
• Establish and maintain executive-level partnerships to expand patient access and unlock growth opportunities.
• Lead commercial readiness and launch excellence for new products, including the obesity portfolio.
• Negotiate strategic partnerships and high-value commercial agreements while ensuring compliance and ethical standards.
• Monitor business performance, forecast accurately, and use market insights to drive strategic decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Compliance teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Key Account Management team, fostering a high-performance culture and succession pipeline.
• Ensure all commercial activities comply with local regulations, company policies, governance requirements, and industry codes of conduct.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences.
• MBA will be a plus
• 8+ years of progressive commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Minimum 2+ years of people leadership experience managing Key Account Managers.
• Strong understanding of the Saudi private healthcare market, including providers and insurance stakeholders.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies for high-value portfolios.
• Experience in product launches within specialty or innovative therapies; obesity portfolio experience is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in executive stakeholder management, strategic partnerships, and complex negotiations.
• Strong financial acumen, business planning, forecasting, and commercial analytics capabilities.
• Business fluent in English and Arabic
