Role & Responsibilities

The BHC Ductless Air Conditioning Global Portfolio Management Team Lead is a strategic leadership role responsible for steering the global product portfolio, driving process excellence, and aligning multi-regional stakeholders. This role serves as the central orchestrator between regional sales units, strategy, product areas, and R&D—ensuring that the product roadmap is optimized for global scale while respecting crucial regional market dynamics. The leader will establish best-in-class product management standards and drive execution through cross-functional collaboration. This role reports directly to the Head of Product Line Ductless Air Conditioning HC-AC/GP.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Process Excellence

• Global Roadmap Prioritization: Steer the global roadmap prioritization process, ensuring clear decision-making frameworks that balance global platform commonality with regional customer requirements.
• Portfolio Strategy Process: Own and lead the annual strategic planning cycle; moderate and facilitate strategy-building workshops across regional teams and cross functional teams.
• PRM Excellence: Define, standardize, and mature best-in-class Product Management (PRM) processes, tools, and methodologies globally. Ensure market & competitor data standardization and alignment with global databases.

Lifecycle Governance, NPI & Change Management

• Product Circle Governance: Establish and run cross-functional global "Product Circles" to align global product unit engineering, product planning, and operations on roadmap execution.
• NPI & PV Planning and Monitoring: Own the New Product Introduction (NPI) planned volumes (PV) planning, tracking, and key product performance indicators; act as the primary owner for global portfolio KPIs.
• Change Management: Drive organizational change management for the product management process, supporting international teams as they transition to standardized product lifecycle management frameworks.

Leadership & Team Steering

• Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing Global Portfolio Management team, fostering strategic acumen, cross-cultural competence, and structured analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

1. Experience & Functional Expertise

• 10+ Years of AC Industry Experience: Deep domain knowledge of AC systems, markets, technology trends, and commercial drivers.
• Global Portfolio & Product Management: Extensive, proven track record of managing complex, multi-year product portfolios and life cycles at a global scale.
• Strategy Development: Demonstrated experience translating business targets and market insights into concrete, actionable product line strategies.
• Excellence Center Execution: Experience in setting up, running, or driving initiatives within Excellence Centers / Centers of Competence.

1. Collaboration & Soft Skills

• International Relationship Manager: Outstanding stakeholder management skills; ability to build trust, navigate complex matrix organizations, and align diverse interests.
• Proven APAC Experience: Direct experience working within, or closely managing, Asia-Pacific markets, joint ventures, and regional partners.
• Multi-National Project Leadership: Proven track record of successfully running complex projects and steering initiatives across senior, multi-national cross-functional teams.
• Structured Work Style: Highly methodical, organized, and analytical mindset with a strong ability to translate ambiguity into structured processes.
• Languages: Business-fluent English is a must-have; additional regional languages are highly beneficial.
