As part of that change,we are looking for a

HEAD OF PMO & PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT

tojoin Finnair’s Digital Transformation & Architecture team. In this role, you will lead the Project Management Office (PMO), lead selected strategic programs, and take end-to-end accountability for developing portfolio management practices that connect strategy, business value, and execution.

You will play a key role in ensuring that strategic priorities are translated into a structured, well-governed, and executable portfolio of initiatives. In addition, you willestablishand continuously develop portfolio management as an integral part of the operating model, enabling transparency of value, risks, and delivery performance across theorganization

AsHead of PMO & Portfolio Development, you will:

  • Lead and continuously develop Finnair’s PMO and project management capability, including methodologies, governance, tooling, and reporting.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers and build a broader PM community across the organisation.

  • Lead selected strategic programs and major initiatives.

  • Strengthen execution discipline across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management.

  • Further develop and operationalise the portfolio management model, including prioritisation, performance management, and supporting tools.

  • Lead andfacilitateportfolio-related decision-making in relevant governance forums.

  • Develop portfolio analytics, KPIs, and reporting practices to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Provide leadership with a transparent, fact-based view of the portfolio, including value, risks, dependencies, and performance.

  • Collaborate closely with Business, Strategyand Digital teams to align portfolio, development,deliveryand ways of working.

What arewelooking for?

  • 10+ years of experience in project, program, and portfolio management.

  • Proventrack recordof leading PMO functions and building or significantly improving portfolio management maturity.

  • Strong leadership and change management capabilities.

  • Experience leading complex digital transformation or technology-enabled change initiatives.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, business case development, and benefits trackingand analytics.

  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Collaborative and strong at building trust across business and digital teams.

  • Ability tooperateeffectively in complex, matrixed environments.

  • Calm, decisive, and resilient under pressure.

  • Familiarity with portfolio and PPM tools.

  • Hands-on experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models at scale.

  • Continuous learner with a passion for improving ways of working.
