Your area of work:

Physical Security at Deutsche Börse Group (DBG) is embedded within the Department of Group Security of Deutsche Börse AG and ensures the mitigation of operational risks for all physical assets, including staff, sites, and events at a global range. As Head of Physical Security, you will take a decisive role in applying a holistic risk management approach and merging the interests of internal and external stakeholders to safeguard physical assets. Bilanguage (English, German) capability is a prerequisite, same as multi year experience in the Physical Security sector including event security.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Physical Security Procedure and corresponding security controls employed remain appropriate and proportionate to the assessed physical risks, and are responsive and adaptable to the changing threat landscape, business requirements, and Deutsche Börse’s risk appetite.
  • Lead a diverse team at three different locations. Provide direct oversight of daily security operations.
  • Act as budget owner for all costs related to the Physical Security domain.
  • Influence, change, impact decisions and serve as primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide physical security services to integrated subsidiaries of Deutsche Börse AG and guidance and advice on physical security for not integrated Deutsche Börse Group subsidiaries.
  • Maintain close relationships with high-level law enforcement, intelligence, and private sector counterparts.
  • Lead crisis management and business continuity planning for physical security incidents.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for continuous improvement.
  • Manage outsourced Physical Security service provider in various locations globally
  • Manage the security of a number of public events, which are mainly centered around Frankfurt

Your profile:

  • 7-10+ years in corporate security, law enforcement, or military, with 3+ years in a leadership role, preferably in a global environment.
  • Relevant certifications in physical security, risk management, and crisis management are a strong asset. Preferred certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) – ASIS and Physical Security Professional (PSP) – ASIS
  • Skilled in managing physical risks and steering projects strategically
  • Proven experience managing multi-site security programs and leading staff at different company sites.
  • Familiarity with large international organizations and ability to work under pressure, including full availability for crisis situations.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional collaboration, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and operate in challenging environments
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with physical access control, CCTV, visitor management, SOC integration, and other physical security systems and technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS 365, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • High proficiency in German and English
