Job Description

🏠 What Do We Do?

The shift to electric mobility is happening. Electra is accelerating it.

Transportation is one of Europe's biggest sources of carbon emissions. Since 2021, Electra exists to make charging so simple that electric vehicles become the obvious choice for everyone.

In 5 years, we've built a team of 300+ talents from 21 nationalities in 10 countries.

We’ve grown into one of Europe's leading fast-charging operators by deploying fast, reliable infrastructure and user experiences across our own network, and we’re now expanding to thousands more charging points in Europe with our own eMSP.

Backed by over €1 billion in funding, we’re looking for bold, passionate, collaborative talents to drive Europe’s energy transition.

If that sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you!

💼 Your Mission

We’ve built People Operations from the ground up across 9 geographies. Today, the foundations are in place: our processes run and our team delivers every day for employees, managers, and the business.

Now, we’re entering the next chapter.

As Electra scales, we need one global People Operations function that can deliver a consistent, reliable, and locally relevant employee experience across Europe.

Your mission is to bring our People Operations scopes together under one functional leader, and help the team move from regional ownership to global ways of working without losing the local trust and expertise we’ve built.

You’ll lead the team, simplify how we operate, strengthen our data and tooling, and create the standards, routines, and solutions that help Electra scale with clarity.

In short, you’ll help us build People Operations that are:

  • Reliable: employees and managers get accurate support, every time
  • Scalable: processes, tools, and documentation grow with the business
  • Local where it matters: compliant, practical, and trusted in each country
  • Simple to use: less manual work, fewer bottlenecks, more time for high-impact work

🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ Your Responsibilities

1) Scale operational excellence across Europe

Make employee moments simpler, more consistent, and more reliable globally across onboarding, offboarding, contracts, data, leave, benefits, documentation, and first-line support.

  • Reduce repetitive work using automations, integrations, and AI where useful (eg. promotion, bonus, staffing plan files)
  • Create self-serve solutions for people to find answers faster, while knowing when expert support is needed
  • Set clear service standards for People Ops, including response time, accuracy, employee experience, and compliance

2) Build one global People Operations function

Manage our People Operations team, creating the conditions for them to do their best work.

  • Set clear expectations and outcomes for the team, and coach them through becoming one global team and help each person grow their impact as the function evolves, strengthening a culture of reliability, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Evolve the strategy, roles, rituals, and ways of working to enable it

3) Turn People data into reliable insights

Own the quality and reliability of our People data across tools and processes to help People, Finance, and business leaders make better decisions.

  • Ensure our information is accurate and up to date
  • Improve reporting and data routines so we can spot trends, risks, and opportunities earlier to support better decisions
  • Make People data accessible, simple to understand, and more useful for the business

4) Partner with People & Impact teams to scale impact

You won’t build this function in isolation. You’ll work closely with:

  • The VP People (manager of this role) and CPO, to align on the People Operations strategy which you will own
  • Local Senior People Generalists in Belgium and Germany, who report into Country Managers and sit across Operations and Partnering locally
  • The wider People & Impact team, with a focus on Talent Acquisition especially on workflows, tooling, and data
  • Leaders and managers, so People Ops solves real business and employee needs

Current Toolstack: Teamtailor (ATS), Notion (wiki), Google suite (sheets), Lucca (HRIS), Slack (team comms), Pigment (financial planning & data), Claude (AI)

😎 What will help you succeed

If the role speaks to you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every box.

Competencies

French and English are needed for this role. You’ll likely thrive if you also:

  • fluent in leveraging and learning key tools such as sheets, Lucca and Pigment
  • create structure without unnecessary complexity
  • are strategic and hands-on: happy to define the roadmap, and untangle a messy process when needed
  • make data-informed decisions and measure the impact of the work you lead on the business
  • google sheets has no secrets for you
  • enjoy improving and streamlining systems, tools, and documentation
  • can automate your way through every process, confidently picking between a zapier process, an API integration or a Claude workflow
  • foster clarity, trust, and momentum through change
  • can balance employee experience, operational efficiency, and compliance
  • partner well with local experts, central teams, and senior leaders
  • are curious, humble, proactive and a keen learner

Experiences

  • Substantial experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or a similar role
  • Building or scaling multi-country People Operations
  • Managing and developing a team
  • A track record of leading operational or organisational change
  • Working knowledge of employment law and compliance considerations across at least a few European markets

⚡️ What Electra Offers You

  • Opportunities to grow across engineering, operations, and strategy
  • A collaborative and mission-driven environment
  • Real impact on the energy transition and the future of mobility
  • An attractive compensation package with fixed and variable components (evaluated and paid quarterly)
  • Brand-new offices in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris
  • 2 days of remote work per week
  • Alan health insurance (50% covered by Electra)
  • Meal vouchers via Swile card (€10/day, 50% covered by Electra)
  • 25 paid vacation days + 12 RTT (reduction of working time) days
  • SYNTEC collective agreement (including vacation bonus, additional leave for special occasions, etc.)
  • A quarterly company-wide event with the entire Electra team
  • Sustainable Mobility Package
  • Access to the company benefits platform (CSE) with numerous perks (culture, sports, etc.)
  • Access to a platform dedicated to mental health, supporting your well-being at work and beyond, including up to 4 sessions per year with certified practitioners, covered by Electra

At Electra, we strive to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, safe, and free to be themselves, fully expressing their potential. We are committed to equal opportunities and do not tolerate discrimination based on religion, cultural background, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability. 💚

Even if you don’t tick all the boxes, we encourage you to apply! We value potential, motivation, and a growth mindset just as much as experience. 🚀
