
We are looking for a pragmatic, hands-on and strategic Head of People and Culture to lead our people agenda across the business.
The role offers circa £60,000, bonus, 5% pension contributions, BUPA single cover, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays rising with service, and the option to buy up to 1 week of additional leave.
This is a key executive role, reporting to the Managing Director and forming part of the executive team, with responsibility for leading the People and Culture function and shaping the overall people
strategy.
You will lead a team of 4 direct reports, including the Group Health and Safety Manager, and hold accountability for wages oversight of £11m, payroll sign-off and the overall People and Culture approach.
This role would suit someone stepping up from a senior People or HR Business Partner position who is ready for broader leadership responsibility and wants to combine strategy with real operational involvement. As the business continues to expand, there may also be further progression opportunities in the future
What you will be doing
·Leading the People and Culture strategy across the business.
·Partnering with the Managing Director and executive team on people, culture and organisational priorities.
·Leading and developing a team of 4 direct reports, including oversight of health and safety through the Group Health and Safety Manager.
·Taking ownership of wages oversight, payroll sign-off and broader people governance.
·Supporting managers and leaders with practical, commercial and legally sound people advice.
·Driving engagement, performance, capability and culture across the business.
·Making sure the People and Culture function is visible, credible and value adding across all sites.
What we are looking for
·CIPD qualified.
·Strong HR or People generalist experience, ideally in a multi-site or operational environment.
·Experience managing and developing a team.
·A practical, pragmatic and solutions-driven approach.
·Someone who is comfortable operating strategically while staying hands on.
·A confident communicator with the credibility to influence and challenge at senior level.
·Someone ready to step up from a business partner role into a broader leadership position.
