Join Royal London’s People Function in a senior leadership role partnering the Customer Services Executive team. As a trusted strategic adviser, you’ll bring the gravitas, judgement and influence to work confidently with senior leaders, constructively challenging to support high-quality decisions, organisational effectiveness and business performance.

A key focus will be translating business strategy into a clear, prioritised people and organisation plan. You’ll use strong commercial judgement to identify the capabilities, structures, leadership and culture needed to deliver outcomes and support future growth, transformation and success.

Working at the heart of strategic decision-making, you’ll shape leadership capability, team effectiveness, organisation design, workforce planning and talent strategies, helping leaders build high-performing teams and an exceptional colleague experience.

About the role

• Act as a trusted strategic adviser to senior leaders, bringing insight, judgement and constructive challenge to executive discussions and decisions.
• Translate business strategy into a focused people and organisation plan, aligning resources, capabilities and talent to business objectives.
• Drive organisation design, workforce planning, operating model and capability strategies that support long-term business success.
• Partner with leaders to strengthen leadership and team effectiveness through coaching, facilitation, diagnostics and targeted interventions.
• Lead people aspects of significant business change, transformation and culture programmes, building effective matrix teams across the People Function.
• Ensure effective delivery of key people processes including performance, reward, talent, succession, engagement and strategic workforce planning.

About you

• Significant experience as a senior HR Business Partner, Head of People or equivalent in a complex commercial organisation.
• Executive presence and gravitas, with the confidence, resilience and judgement to challenge and influence senior leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience translating strategy into prioritised people, organisation and workforce actions.
• Deep expertise in leadership and team effectiveness, including coaching, development, facilitation and organisational diagnostics.
• Practical experience of organisation design and effectiveness, including operating models, governance, capability and ways of working.
• Experience leading people aspects of complex change and transformation, supported by sound ER and legislative knowledge.
