About Trial Library

Trial Library is an AI-native enrollment and care navigation platform that accelerates access to precision medicine. In collaboration with biopharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, and health systems, Trial Library enables the delivery of clinical trials as a standard care option - improving patient access, advancing oncology outcomes, and reducing the total cost of care. Backed by leading healthcare venture capital firms, Trial Library’s platform is currently deployed in 840+ clinics and 3,000+ providers nationwide.

About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Head of Payer Strategy to lead Trial Library's payer partnership strategy and expand our presence across health plans and employer organizations. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on leadership role responsible for identifying, developing, and growing partnerships that improve access to clinical trials while demonstrating meaningful clinical and economic value.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will work closely with Product, Clinical, Customer Success, and Marketing to shape Trial Library's payer strategy, strengthen our go-to-market approach, and build long-term partnerships that accelerate company growth.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Trial Library's payer partnership strategy to drive commercial growth and expand patient access to clinical trials.

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with health plans, employers, and other healthcare organizations.

  • Identify, negotiate, and close payer partnerships that align with Trial Library's mission and commercial objectives.

  • Develop compelling value propositions that demonstrate both clinical outcomes and economic impact.

  • Partner closely with Product, Clinical, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success teams to ensure payer insights inform product development and commercialization efforts.

  • Serve as Trial Library's internal subject matter expert on payer trends, reimbursement dynamics, and value-based care.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on commercial planning, forecasting, and go-to-market strategy.

  • Help establish scalable partnership processes, contracting workflows, and commercial best practices.

  • Represent Trial Library at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events.

  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging partnership opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.

Your Requirements:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in payer strategy, healthcare partnerships, business development, commercial strategy, or related healthcare leadership roles.

  • Proven track record of developing and growing strategic partnerships within healthcare.

  • Deep understanding of payer organizations, healthcare reimbursement, and value-based care.

  • Experience negotiating complex healthcare partnerships and enterprise agreements.

  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience working in healthcare technology, digital health, oncology, clinical research, life sciences, or related industries preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build new programs and processes in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships with payer organizations, employers, or healthcare innovation leaders.

  • Experience developing commercialization strategies for healthcare technology or digital health solutions.

  • Familiarity with oncology, precision medicine, clinical trials, or patient navigation.

  • Experience in venture-backed or high-growth startup environments.
