The Position

As the Head of Patient Safety (GCC), you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we bring innovation to patients responsibly and sustainably across the region. This is a senior leadership position that transcends traditional pharmacovigilance, sitting at the heart of regulatory trust, clinical practice, and patient outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Shape Regional Strategy: Define and drive the Patient Safety vision across GCC markets, aligning local execution with global priorities.

  • Lead a Key Market: Directly oversee Patient Safety in Saudi Arabia, a strategically vital and high-growth market, ensuring alignment with national healthcare transformation.

  • Drive Innovation: Move beyond compliance-only models toward integrated safety risk management that directly impacts clinical practice and patient care.

  • Influence Externally: Represent Roche in key regulatory and industry forums, strengthening our position as a trusted partner with health authorities.

  • Empower Talent: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of safety professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Simplify & Optimize: Contribute regional insights to evolve Roche's global safety systems, balancing global consistency with essential local relevance.

Who You Are

  • You are a visionary leader who thrives in complex, evolving environments and possesses the strategic mindset needed to translate safety insights into meaningful patient impact. You are a collaborator at heart, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and health authorities.

  • Experienced Leader: You bring significant leadership experience in Patient Safety, Pharmacovigilance, or Regulatory Affairs, with a proven track record of managing regional or complex cross-country teams.

  • Strategic Navigator: You have a deep understanding of healthcare systems within the GCC; experience navigating the regulatory landscape in Saudi Arabia is highly valued.

  • Relationship Builder: You excel at engaging with external stakeholders and health authorities to build long-term regulatory confidence.

  • Transformation Catalyst: You are comfortable driving change, building team capabilities beyond traditional compliance, and integrating safety into broader clinical and medical decision-making.

  • Effective Communicator: You possess strong executive presence and the ability to communicate complex safety strategies to diverse audiences.
