The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring our employees’ safety, engagement and development
  • Reducing the carbon footprint of our activities
  • Guarantying compliance in all activities (laws, standards, processes, procedures,…)
  • Delivering world-class performance (OTD, lead times, throughput, quality, claims,…) to delight our customers (through implementation of S&OP as an example)
  • Maximizing our operational performance (efficiencies, cash) to the lowest costs (lean, automation, digitization)
  • Adapt our operations and supply chain (localization, footprint, capacity, make or buy) to the needs of our customers and strategic interests
  • Own key supplier performance, capacity, OTIF, quality, risk, dual sourcing, and supplier development
  • Integrate new operations (from acquisitions for example) into the EMEA model while maintaining local performance and customer service
  • Simplifying our operating model

What You’ll Do at Justrite

  1. Customer service
  • Coordinate and resolve customer complaints while providing sales support to internal and external customers.
  • Make sure all customer interactions are tracked through case management in salesforce
  • Drive systemic/process improvement to increase customer satisfaction and reduce internal burden/costs.
  1. Warehouses and Inventory Management
  • Monitors inventory levels, oversees stock replenishment and quality of inventory. Ensures warehouse operations meet all department mandated timeframes and deadlines
  • Establishes key performance indicators for all teams to measure and track incoming and outgoing materials. Reviews KPIs on a regular basis with supervisors to identify gaps and solutions
  • Analyze current distribution processes to implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Optimizes the warehouse footprint for efficiency and space
  • Maintains the operating expenses based on the annual budget and assists in preparation of annual warehouse operations budget
  • Oversee the development, deployment and direction of warehouse change programs and processes
  • Fully responsible for all inventory management of the distributions. Will work directly or indirectly with Planners and Buyers to established Finished Goods inventory levels.
  • Ensure that all material handling and transportation equipment is properly maintained and safe to operate
  • Establishes and maintains long-term (internal) customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
  1. Supply Chain Management
  • Use ABC-XYZ analysis to optimize inventory levels, balancing stock and customer delivery expectations maximizing cash flow.
  • Negotiate pricing contract with main suppliers
  • Prepare reports on supply chain performance indicators and supplier performance evaluation
  • Lead and mentor the regional supply chain specialists and buyers through training and development.
  • Support the sales department with planning, execution and all other operational issues regarding the inbound supply chain.
  • Manage all operational issues related to the inbound flow and outbound drop shipment flow to our customers all over the world.
  • Proactively optimize the localization and make or buy agenda to offer the best supply chain performance (agility, cost, carbon footprint).
  1. Production
  • Lead and mentor the local Ops Managers through training and development.
  • Supervise the daily SQPCD meeting and make sure they are driving the performance control and improvement needed.
  • Monitors and manages machine OEE, as well as process effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensures standard operating procedures are always up-to-date and get reviewed and improved regularly.
  • Ensures all operations meet all department mandated timeframes and deadlines.
  • Establishes key performance indicators for all teams to measure and track and manage performance. Reviews KPIs on a regular basis with supervisors to identify gaps and solutions.
  • Permanently adapt capacity to the current and future needs of the business, including new products introduction.
  1. Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Problem-Solving
  • Leads Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives by identifying and implementing Lean methodologies to enhance productivity, throughput, and efficiency.
  • Utilizes Lean tools such as Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping to drive process improvements.
  • Implement root cause problem-solving techniques such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Analysis to address operational inefficiencies and prevent recurring issues.
  • Drives automation and system improvements to increase productivity and reduce direct and indirect labor.
  • Works cross-functionally and cross sites to improve workflows, reduce lead times, and eliminate waste in warehouse operations.
  • Actively works on simplifying our operating model by phasing out the unnecessary SKU’s.
  • Coaches and trains team members on CI methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  1. People Management
  • Leads, trains and develops operations staff, fostering a culture of sustainability, performance, ownership, resilience and teamwork.
  • Develop our operations bench-strength beyond the first line of management.
  • Effectively communicates with direct reports and internal customers in sales and operations.
  • Prepares and conducts annual performance reviews for Supervisors. Provides constructive and positive feedback on an ongoing basis
  • Practice and adhere to all company policies.
  1. Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management
  • Establish each local operations as a showroom for JSG solutions.
  • Maintain and update documentation within the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Relentlessly upgrade the business unit management system to streamline and standardize processes whilst delivering optimum performance.
  • Make sure Syteline (our ERP) is always aligned with our actual operating model.
  • Develop and implement a CO2 emissions reduction roadmap.
  1. CSR
  • Prepare, review, and update EUDR* (and other relevant regulations) due diligence statements to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Manage sustainability reporting and performance initiatives by maintaining the EcoVadis platform, coordinating CSR action plans, and overseeing energy-saving measurement programs and government reporting requirements to support compliance, sustainability objectives, and continuous improvement.
  • European Union Deforestation Regulation
  1. Leadership & transformational activities
  • JSG group: collaborate transparently with group functions and colleagues from sister companies ; prepare and attend MBR’s and other relevant group forums.
  • Contribute to the EMEA strategy, leadership initiatives and overall business transformation.
  • Optimize the overall footprint (Barendrecht v2 for example) to maximize our operations efficiencies.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain & Logistics Management or Operations Management preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years’ previous warehouse/operations management experience
  • Proven experience in leading and transforming multi-site and international industrial operations
  • Prior experience in managing transportation TL, LTL Carriers, Intermodal, and Parcel desired
  • Prior experience in a union environment desired
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in leading individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, setting high-performance standards and delivering leading quality services.
  • Articulates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and systems
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
  • Apply tools and processes to successfully manage budget
  • Assesses work activities and allocates resources appropriately
  • Proven resilience in a demanding corporate environment (matrix organization, strict reporting, firm deadlines, aggressive ambitions,..)
  • Commercial/customer mindset: understands the commercial consequences of operational decisions and works with Sales to find solutions aiming at delighting the customers
  • European mobility: a significant portion of the role requires local presence on operations sites. Presence on sites will need to be adapted to the needs (seniority of the local Ops leader, local performance, new acquisition, strategic interest of the site,…)
  • Fluent English speaking is mandatory. Dutch and Italian are a plus.

Compensation:

The compensation will be commensurate with experience.  Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets. At Justrite, we have an annual evaluation system that supports professional and financial growth based on achieved results and objectives.
