A bootstrapped marketing agency just doubled revenue this year and is on track to triple within the next 12 months. The founder is rebuilding the operating model AI-first as he scales into new clients and verticals, and this hire will be his first head of operations. You'd own the systems, manage the senior service partners, and be the operational backbone of the business.
About the Company
The business generates leads for law firms working mesothelioma cases and the closely related asbestos and talc exposure categories. Plans are in motion to expand into broader mass-tort case categories over the next six to twelve months, opening the engine to a wider range of consumer-harm work. The mechanics are paid ads, bespoke landing pages, intake validation, fraud filtering, and qualifying. The culture is direct and logic-first: decisions get made on the merits, work is async-friendly, and the team is small enough that one person's work moves the whole business.
About the Role
As the Head of Operations, you will report directly to the founder and CEO. The team is small but senior: a Director of Performance Marketing in-house, an outside AI consultant on the contextual-AI and automation build, a senior performance-marketing service partner on retainer, and design and content contractors. You define the shape of the team as the company grows.
The operating model is distributed and AI-native by design. Fully remote in the U.S., with a working-hours preference for Atlantic or Eastern time zones to overlap with the founder and current team. You'd operate on top of an active no-code (Claude Code) automation stack and the contextual-AI website system the AI consultant is building this year.
This is an operator role with architectural scope and the runway to build something that compounds. The founder is intentional about that shape: enough authority to design the system, hold the service partners accountable, and stand up the next two verticals without rushing or being second-guessed.
The Goal
In twelve months, you've built the operating system the business runs on: the operating cadence, the service partner accountability framework and the multi-vertical scaffolding.
