Daher’s new Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Stuart, Florida is expanding the company’s aircraft manufacturing footprint in North America by supporting the assembly and delivery of the industry‑leading TBM aircraft. The site brings together production, manufacturing engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to build world‑class aircraft with a focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. As a growing aerospace operation, the Stuart FAL offers employees the opportunity to help launch and develop a new aircraft production capability while contributing to continuous improvement, advanced manufacturing, and the future growth of Daher Aircraft

Daher is seeking to hire a Head of Operations to join our new TBM Final Assembly Line in Stuart, Florida. The Head of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management of production within their unit, ensuring that parts/products are delivered in the required quantity and quality, while meeting deadlines and cost targets.

The role also includes leading and developing teams (typically up to 100 employees) and managing the machinery and equipment within the unit.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:

Operations Management

  • Lead, optimize, and coordinate production resources and activities to proactively ensure on-time delivery of high-quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Implement the manufacturing strategy.
  • Oversee and manage the organization of the Production Unit (UAP).

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Coordinate and align resources with other departments such as Maintenance, Equipment, Planning, Logistics, and Engineering to resolve manufacturing issues and/or improve processes.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and motivate teams, fostering a rigorous delegation framework.
  • Engage employees and support change management by enabling decision-making, encouraging innovation, and promoting continuous learning.
  • Clearly communicate expectations and hold employees accountable for their performance.
  • Ensure alignment of teams with Group and site vision and objectives.
  • Develop team members’ skills in line with evolving business and organizational needs.

Quality, Safety, and Environment (QSE)

  • Implement, promote, and sustain a safe working environment, including:
    • accident prevention
    • incident investigations
    • equipment maintenance
    • strict adherence to procedures
    • strong corporate responsibility culture
  • Address and manage QSE alerts raised by employees.
  • Ensure team members are properly trained and certified (QSE training, authorizations, etc.)
  • Support continuous improvement and QSE maturity development within the unit.

Customer Focus & Performance

  • Develop a strong understanding of internal and external customers.
  • Act proactively and responsively.
  • Deliver on commitments and continuously create value.

Strategy Deployment

  • Deploy Quality, Industrialization, Procurement, and Supply Chain strategies defined by Management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering with 10+ years of aerospace experience.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Operations Manager in an aerospace environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft assembly processes.
  • Demonstrated success in Lean manufacturing implementation.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience in site management, including coordination of aerospace-related activities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
