Head of Operational Excellence

The Role

We are looking for a Head of Operational Excellence to lead the transformation of how Nexus operates.

This is a senior cross-functional leadership role responsible for improving business performance through Lean principles, AI-enabled ways of working, strong governance, and operational discipline. Working closely with leaders across Product, Delivery, Technology, Support, and Security, you will build the operational foundation that enables the business to scale, execute strategy, and succeed in an AI-driven future.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the Operational Excellence strategy across Nexus.
• Lead AI-enabled transformation initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and decision-making.
• Simplify and standardize processes, governance, and ways of working across the organization.
• Strengthen performance management through clear KPIs, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
• Establish scalable operating models that support growth, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure security, compliance, risk management, and governance are embedded in business operations.
• Build organizational capability in Lean, operational leadership, and continuous improvement.
• Support senior leaders in translating business strategy into measurable operational outcomes.

What We're Looking For

You bring a strong track record in operational excellence, business transformation, or large-scale change management within technology, software, or service-driven organizations.

You likely have:

• Experience leading Lean or operational transformation programmes.
• Proven success driving AI-enabled business improvement.
• Strong understanding of performance management, governance, and operating models.
• Experience working across multiple business functions and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of risk, compliance, and operational management frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• A passion for building high-performing organizations and delivering measurable business impact.
