As we experience significant growth, we are expanding our organization to support continued success and are now looking for a Head of Operational Excellence to join our team in Helsingborg.

The Head of Operational Excellence ensures predictable, compliant, and profitable execution across the Business Unit. The role establishes and governs the frameworks for program management, quality assurance, and contract & product compliance, enabling value streams to deliver with discipline, reduced risk, and protected margins.

This position institutionalizes execution excellence beyond individual programs and embeds structural accountability across the BU. The role includes people management responsibility and reports directly to Head of Business Unit MilDef Products.

Key responsibilities

Program Management Office (PMO)

• Establish and lead an account-based PMO with full program governance across major accounts.

• Ensure contract compliance, financial control, risk management, executive reporting, and line management for program managers.

Regulatory compliance (Quality Management)

• Own the BU Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Drive audits, deviation handling, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

Contract management

• Ensure contractual obligations are operationalized and fulfilled.

• Oversee export control, regulatory, and security compliance in cooperation with group legal.

Governance and risk management

• Implement structured risk management and ensure effective cross-functional escalation.

• Mitigate contractual, regulatory, and operational risks and support decision-making.

Organizational Enablement

• Define governance models, standards, and tools while clarifying accountability

• Drive operational maturity and develop capabilities within program management and quality

What you bring

• 5+ years of senior cross functional management experience in regulated industry (defense preferred).

• Structured, decisive, and capable of leading cross-functional authority without direct line control.

• Strong contractual understanding and background in program management and quality systems.

• Strong communication skills in Swedish and English. German would be beneficial.

• Engaging and strong leadership skills, easily getting followship from team.

• Able to operate in a matrix organization with program-driven delivery.

• Financial acumen.

• Structured governance and risk management mindset.

• Executive communication capability.
