Job Description

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Pricing/Access Strategy

  • Develop and execute company-level pricing and access strategies for all on-market brands and new assets, with strategic coverage spanning from early clinical phases (PH1) through post-launch, to ensure effective launch, lifecycle management, and value optimization
  • Act as a central hub to drive collaboration across China Market Access, Business Units, and Global teams, with a focus on maximizing outcomes in NRDL, VBP, CHI, and tendering processes
  • Provide in-depth local market insights and policy analyses to shape and refine both local and global market access strategies, ensuring that corporate objectives are achieved within China’s dynamic healthcare landscape

HEOR

  • Develop and implement payer evidence strategies by collaborating with R&D, Medical, and Early Commercial teams, oversee health economic research projects to support reimbursement, policy advocacy, hospital access, and promotional initiatives, and provide expert advice on NRDL health economic evaluation rules
  • Engage with external stakeholders and experts to anticipate, understand, and shape the evolution of value assessment methodology, health technology assessment rules, and policy frameworks, ultimately influencing the broader market access decision-making environment.

Key stakeholders’ management

  • Drive effective engagement and partnership with key stakeholders including government agencies, payer organizations, hospital administrators, policy makers, academic experts, and industry associations to influence the market access environment and support access objectives

Team Leadership & Budget Management

  • Build and develop high-performing and diverse team with strong talent pipeline
  • Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, local regulations, and ethical standards

Requirements

Academic /Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological, social sciences or economics. Master’s degree in relevant field (outcomes research, health services research, epidemiology, health economics, health policy or economics) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in related function, with leadership experience in the generation of payer evidence (e.g. Health Economics, RWE (Real-World Evidence), pricing or reimbursement experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
  • Payer, HTA (Health Technology Assessment), public health, or health policy experience (including within the pharmaceutical industry, SM(Small Molecule) or Biologics or both, is valued.

Skills and Competency:

  • In-depth understanding of China’s policy landscape and healthcare environment
  • Visionary strategic thinker with strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze complex issues, formulate strategic solutions, and see the big picture
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Established credibility with therapeutic area experts and ability to influence senior leadership without formal authority; skilled at leading global, cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build an inclusive, high-performing team culture and to develop talent pipelines, fostering sustainable leadership and organizational growth.
  • High ethical standards, strong compliance mindset, and a commitment to upholding integrity in all business activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills in Mandarin and English.
